About
Touhou Lensed Night Sky, Kaseigai is a nontraditional bullet hell that focuses on a fully modular loadout. The player's own attacks and special effects can be exchanged midway through runs as the situation demands, or simply for fun.
There are a lot of ways to approach the game, with three playable characters, four major difficulty options, and a myriad of challenges and difficulty-lowering options that can be enabled or disabled at will.
This game is a fanwork of Touhou Project, a multimedia series that takes place in a hidden country called Gensokyo. The characters and setting in this game are the same as those in the official releases. However, some time has passed for them. Maybe everyone is not exactly as you recall?
If you're not familiar with the Touhou Project series, don't worry! Touhou Lensed Night Sky, Kaseigai is relatively self-explanatory and doesn't demand additional knowledge in order to be played.
Over three hundred items!
Over a bazillion bullets!
A bunch of achievements!
A bunch of challenges to make the game universally easier or harder!
A ton of marketable plushies, and one absolutely unmarketable one!
One hundred and fifty thousand lines of code! (Most people don't care about this one)
Music!
Art!
Touhou!
And 60 bad endings uniquely written for every possible loss! Never a run wasted if there's a new dumb joke at the end!

probably my favorite touhou danmaku game. very good game.
extremely good touhou fangame, probably one of the best imo. the items are great and i like the idea of your survivability being the currency you use to buy them. do i spend all my power on cool item right before the boss? why not! who needs graze, or spell power?? i used it all to buy this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ folding chair!!! you can sell it later if getting close enough to point-blank the boss with a steel chair turns out to be too scary to pull off. selling items to buy better ones later gives a real nice feeling of progression also when i clocked the vibe of the game i immediately predicted who the final boss was going to be. there is no way you make a game like this and not have it be her.
this is my first/second touhou game,. wowowow
Lensed Night Sky is a wonderful work overflowing with passion. I'm personally more fond of roguelikes with a crazy (lack of) balance and LNS fits really nicely into that group, being all about taking the right risks to build yourself towards really powerful item combinations and then figuring out how to use those combinations to get through the fairly difficult boss fights of the game. It should be noted however, that it's still a Touhou game at core and as such your own skill can and will play a part in getting you through situations where you might not have the items to cheese your way through fights. The actual item obtaining process is really cool too, since instead of having enemies drop money they drop stat-ups for 3 different stats, You can only obtain money by either selling 1 point of a stats power or selling other items, and money cannot be kept between shops, As such you always have to wage how low you can afford to go with your stats or which items you can part with to get the better, more expensive ones. Really keeps you on your toes! On the non-gameplay side of things, the game features a wonderful soundtrack in styles that are rarely seen in Touhou Fangames (FIRE LAND LET ME BUY IT PLEASE) and character artworks oozing with. well. Character! The writing is really fun and covers a wide range from thoughtful to silly and happy to tragic, spread out across not just the different stories for the characters but even the many bad endings for game overing at just about any point. In short, if you like touhou and bullet hell shmups in general and want a really unique and wild take on them, do check this game out, it rocks!!
thank you for having a booth at touhoufest. i wouldn't have bought this gem without it
Stage 5 and 6 are visually and mechanically incomprehensible to me
great game more of a shmup than a roguelike really (positive)
