Je commente rarement mais là pour un jeu indé : bravo. Déjà l'ambiance, la musique, les visuels : c'est canon ! On reconnait toute suite les inspi Giger et Beckinski. J'ai hâte de pouvoir y rejouer pour avoir l'autre fin, mais je vais attendre de l'oublier un peu. Je ne peux que le conseiller les yeux fermés !

In my opinion, Tormentum works better as an art gallery than as a game. Its biomechanical, Giger-inspired art is by far its greatest strength, but in most other respects the game falls short. The world feels like a patchwork of places and characters that never quite come together into a coherent whole. Why is the castle virtually empty, except for one guy? Who is the queen jailed by the jester? How are they related to the quest to purge evil? The game feels like little more than a chain of loosely related events. The puzzle design only reinforces that impression. The puzzles do not follow any internal logic. You are bombarded with all kinds of riddles, but don't ask who placed them there or why. The puzzle hints are also something. You need to activate a control panel for a set of torture spikes. Where would you look for the combination? Naturally, on a random letter hidden away as a signature! On the plus side, Tormentum doesn’t torture you with pixel hunting. Items and interactive areas flash, making them easy to spot. On the other hand, the game is so simple that you can breeze through most of it without putting much of your brain to work. I stopped playing after reaching Frozen Tears, and I got stuck only once - not because of a challenging puzzle, but because I had overlooked an item.

Ein geniales Spiel, welches mich wirklich gefesselt hat. Eine fantastische Grafik, stimmiger Sound, eine sehr gute, außergewöhnliche Story mit 2 verschiedenen Enden, absolut fehlerfrei, sehr einfache Bedienung und ein Hauptmenu, welches nur die nötigsten Einstellungen hat. Kein stundenlanges Einrichten und Erlernen der Tastaturbelegung. Man kann jederzeit speichern und völlig ohne Stress spielen. Es gibt nichts zeitkritisches. Ich brauchte 3 Durchläufe, um alles zu erkunden und alle Errungenschaften zu bekommen. Es ist aber auch mit 2 Durchläufen möglich, wenn man sich gleich von Anfang an auf gut oder böse festlegt. Ich habe das Spiel sehr genossen und es kam selbst beim dritten Durchlauf kein Frust oder Langeweile auf.
