Including over 25 hours of gameplay, detailed CG, and a moving soundtrack – all in high definition – your choices will affect the path you take.
Spring Is the Season of First Meetings.
On the advice of his older sister, Touki transfers into Ainoshima Gakuen in the middle of the spring term. His heart is full of expectation of a new life in the city of Tokyo, a vast contrast to the countryside that he grew up in.
As he begins to settle into his new life, he encounters fresh faces in the student council president, Ayumi, and an underclassman who admires her, Kuon. What Touki was not expecting was to converge paths with Saya, his childhood friend from a few years ago, who he hadn’t talked to since a certain incident.
To make matters more complicated, a mysterious transfer student arrives shortly after. She seems to loathe him immediately and Touki feels that he has met her somewhere before.
Within the chaos of the present and the mystery of the past that is chasing him, there is uncertainty in the air as he forges a path towards his future and his desire to connect with others.

► EPISODIC WRITING - Unlike traditional visual novels, Tokyo Re:Connect is presented in an episodic format. This makes the story more digestible, and also means that the player can replay from a specific point in time, without having to create extra save slots.
► CHOICE-DEPENDENT STORY - As well as the main episodes, there will be individual routes for each heroine in the game. The routes are dependent on the choices made throughout these episodes, and those thereafter will affect the outcome to the heroine's story.
► MODERN PRESENTATION - Many interactive and dynamic elements have been incorporated into the gameplay. From emojis displaying when characters are in a certain mood, to the CG Inspection Mode that turns a static background into a point-and-click scenario, Tokyo Re:Connect aims to deliver mechanics that go beyond the norm.
► CONTROLLER SUPPORT - Despite being released for the PC, this game supports the use of various controllers for the player's convenience. Additionally, the flexible interface allows for switching on demand, and the ability to map your own controls.
► CUSTOMIZABLE GAMEPLAY - Through the settings of the game, the player can change almost anything that is displayed, so that the gameplay can be tailored to individual needs. Don't like the CG inspection mode? Switch to the standard reading view. Not a fan of the default textbox appearance? Change the style to a different shape, screen position, and even color.

Attention: - this review may contain spoilers, if you don´t mind go ahead. - early review, dead game/ project Summary: A short F2P OELVN with anime content. Features good artwork, bgm. About: - Gameplay/ story: before anything, writing this review in 2022, seems the game is dead; the devs tried a Kickstarter campaign (2020), but was canceled (unsuccessful I guess). Anyway, this is only the prologue; the plot is about the usual school life, the MC Touki is moving from the countryside to Tokyo and starting a school life. Upon moving to Tokyo, will find his dear childhood friend, make new friends (one man and a couple of girls), and the end. So far is basically a kinetic OELVN, with a couple of moments in which will interact by clicking on some points to proceed. - VA: partial VA in english. - Artwork: pretty good - Text/translation: no problem so far Conclusion: "Tokyo Re:Connect Prologue" is a short F2P OELVN, featuring very good artwork and bgm; however only covers the prologue and right now seems to be a dead project and for that reason, I don't recommend to play, unless if you want to taste an OELVN with JP content.
The story is your typical high school slice of life filled with the usual selection of characters you would expect. The annoying older sister, childhood friends, miss perfect and her fan club, a mysterious girl and an energetic duo of friends that follow him everywhere he goes. This is not a bad thing. Slice of Life is an entire genre with a huge following after all. The main character Touki Shindou is a high school student who transferred to Tokyo from a small town. So far, Touki seems typically outgoing and nice. I hope that he will uncover other traits of his personality with further episodes. Otherwise he is on track to become yet another very plain protagonist with cute girls all over him. This game has some interesting and unusual features and I hope those features play bigger role in a full game. The art style is very pleasant, the girls have the most amazing eyes and cutest expressions. I must also praise the beautiful menu and vibrant colours. The music is not annoying which is a huge bonus. The downside is that it clashes with volume of the characters voices. It is too loud, and you can barely hear what characters are saying. Not bad at all for a prologue, I look forward to seeing how the full game turns out. Good luck! ^_^
Please follow our curator page, Otome Lovers, if you'd like to see more reviews like this one!
The game is really good, im still finishing it, but the story for now is impressive; the music is amazing and the graphic looks spectacular. Very well made game, 9.5 / 10 for now.
This game sounded really good at the beginning. I was really sold at the intro, but there are a few problems that forces me not to recommend this game. Although I liked the first episode of the story, the whole game plays as your average visual novel. You got the generic piano music in the background of each menu with the main three anime schoolgirls in the background. It's really nothing special and it doesn't dare to do anything too different. Voice acting. Don't expect quality voice acting here. Some voice lines are missing for no reason, and the others haven't been directed well. Most of the time, the voice actors don't put in enough emotion in the lines and come across as tired or straight-up uninterested in their job. And although all of these characters are Japanese, the English voices will still use Japanese honorifics like -chan, -san. It sounds very awkward and cringey as hell in English. Please. Don't do this, unless you want me to laugh. The writing is descriptive, but probably *too* descriptive. I'm not sure why it takes almost five sentences before a character says a single word, or three sentences to perform a single action. Visual novels are a VISUAL medium and should be treated as such. This VN violates the rule of "show, don't tell" in almost every way. I have to give credit where credit is due. The UI is pretty impressive and it's much better than most visual novels made with Ren'py. I like the use of widescreen in certain scenes and character swipes whenever somebody new is introduced. This game is also littered with a ton of bugs. Although this game has controller support and recommends you to use one, it doesn't work very well. Buttons are confusing, and it's extremely hard to navigate through menus; I prefer using the D-pad to navigate but it only registers the control stick. Early into the game, I was met with a script error than blocks my progress through the story, and there is absolutely no way to fix this. I've tried validating files, reinstalling, and even going to the discussions for advise, but I got no response. It released over a week ago, yet there is already NO MORE support for this game. If you ever come across a problem, don't expect a solution. 3/10.
Follow Far2close - Visual Novel Playthroughs Curator Page Tokyo Re:Connect Prologue Developer: KONEKO Publisher: KONEKO
Intro:
It's always a sad day when your best friend has to move to a new city. Shindou Touki had to say goodbye to his friend Saya at a young age. Now in his teens, he has to move to Tokyo to live with his sister after the passing of his mother. With a new home, new city, and new school, Touki has to make new friends. He meets numerous welcoming students but he also encounters some familiar faces as well. Most of them are faculty members, however one student stands out. It's his old childhood friend, Saya. From there on, he would like a reset and start anew with Saya once again.
Pros:
1. Although it is a prologue and the story is a standard childhood friend romance, I do look forward to what will come next after the introduction of Saki! 2. All the characters are fun and all possess great personalities. Touki is a reserved bookworm. Saya can be sassy, and Ayane is caring and wants what's best for Touki. 3. There is a feature during CG events where you have multiple options on what to inspect such as their hair, body, environment, chat, or you can just choose to leave. Some of these possess different monologues or dialogues. 4. I appreciate the option to zoom and pan the CG art. There is also the detailed options such as individually lowering or raising voices and other volume options. 5. The art is cute! The art by Misaki Monomi is extremely cute with the girls being adorable and the guys being handsome. The environment art is also heavily detailed. The sprite art do possess multiple facial expressions. 6. The music by Efe Tozan fits in well with the slice of live theme, and does an excellent job in enhancing the more somber scenes.
Neutrals:
1. Although it says that it's recommended to play with a controller, it feels absolutely fine playing with standard keyboard and mouse.
Cons:
1. Understandable this is a prologue, however when you finish playing it, it notifies you that you unlocked the extra content. Clicking on it doesn't work though. 2. The popup menu in the UI is handy, but if you want to lower the BGM, it also lowers the character voices or raises them. If you want to lower the BGM volume WITHOUT lowering character voices, you must go to the full audio options menu. 3. The character voices are fine, some could use a bit more emotion.
Conclusion:
Tokyo Re:Connect is a taste of what's to come, but the story and characters are fun. However, there are some issues with audio and other things. Otherwise, I look forward to the finished product. Score: 7/10 GOOD + EARLY ACCESS
