Although no longer available due to concerns the creator has over the message it leaves, I felt that the core message here is solid. Relationships take BALANCE. If you overly devote yourself to your partner, you are very likely to become co-dependent and rely on their attention to feel good about yourself. Too much of the opposite, however, leaves you cold and alone. Well...for most people at least. I wish this game was still available. It is currently in my Library and I don't want to delete it at the risk of no longer being able to obtain it again. The message is solid...and important.
I've experienced all of the endings so far. Though there isn't much gameplay it's about the story line. The one that hit me the most was "But over time feelings change" It's a great game, please keep up the good work! I reccomend everyone play this (Not reccomended for depressed people or people with anxiety)

Maybe next time.
Maybe I don't understand the game play, but I found it rather boring and didn't understand what the point of it was.
I got 100 on both love and compassion but it still kept going so I just let stress hit 100 and end the game.
This game had my anxiety and stress going just from the heartbeat alone which I didn't enjoy definitely. Feel free for anyone to comment/reply to this and let me know what might help me to enjoy it better, I'd like to know what I might be missing out on.
It's a simple game although I do recommend playing it since it makes you get your own idea of what it means but I think it's not that right of a meaning for the ending and the game play as there are some parts that doesn't necessarily mean that those parts bring stress or that it'll always be pointless and will always end but there's the opposite too, not everything's the same!
The game deals less with dating someone who has a mental illness, and more with someone who uses that mental illness to manipulate and be abusive. Either way, I definitely had to sit down and talk with my partner after this because I started over analyzing all the times I need reassurance, or ask him to go out with me on walks and stuff. I legitimately had to sit him down and ask if there are boundaries we need to put in place or discuss. I had to ask if I was making him spread himself too thin. He told me I was being silly and to stop playing video games that were going to make me cry lol. As someone who has been on both sides of the issues, I found this game hard to play. I've been with someone who had extreme mental illness, but I never got to the point where every action we took caused stress. After repairing from that relationship and my past, I'm personally dealing with RSD, anxiety and depression. It sucks and it is hard on my partner. I have to ask for comfort and reassurance a lot, and there are definitely times when we both need alone time to sort things out. The game doesn't give you the option for healthy alone time. You either devote yourself entirely to the person and raise your stress until you die, or you get to "ignore" them so that you can focus on yourself for a bit. I feel that the creator didn't intend this to portray a healthy relationship, but I also think a bit more thought could have gone into the progression so that you get a sense of the intent behind the game. It has the potential to be an amazingly deep and well put together game, if it gets a bit more polishing.

It is a shame that the developer is removing this for sale, because this is a really beautiful game. Yes, on the surface level this game can appear to be really depressing and bleak, and that can turn a lot of people off from playing it again. It isn't everyone's cup of tea, and that's perfectly okay. However, when you've played through it a few times the deeper message starts to come through; don't lose yourself in the relationship. I see some people mentioning why do certain things that seem like they would be happy moments in a relationship end up causing stress in the game. For example, "go to the park with them" causes you to gain a couple points of stress. For me, going to the park is something that can potentially be stressful since I have social anxiety and I don't really care to be in public. For someone else this could be stressful because they would rather be doing something else, maybe studying for an exam or being lazy with some Netflix binging. Could that aspect/mechanic of the game be more polished? Absolutely. It shouldn't increase your stress meter every time you go to the park with your partner. The underlying message though is what is important and that is it's okay to take time for yourself. It is okay to have boundaries and to have your space to just do your own thing. If you choose to always go out with your partner - as seen by choosing every one of those options in the game - it can become overwhelming. When do you have time for yourself? When do you have time to decompress if you're always with your partner? So to me, this game is about balancing your wants and time, with the wants of your partner and the time you use to invest in them and the relationship. If you make it to the end without breaking your heart it ends with a very depressing message that some people are very critical about. To that I say who hasn't been bitter after a breakup? This is a very mixed bag for me overall. I can see what the developer is trying to go for, I just wish the mechanics were a little more refined for the message to really come through clearer. I have replayed it a couple times over the years, and it is something I definitely recommend to people to play through at least once.
great game, people thinking the dev believes love is fake have no media literacy and no understanding of real life relationships. No point in writing this cuz nobody will read this anyway. My only problem with the game is that steam thinks this is a sex game and the store is filled with porn because I played this game.
