Jedoch einiges an Content, hat uns 2 Tage beschäftigt, also ok.
*TKKG – Die Feuerprobe*, developed by The Web Production and published by USM, is a story-driven point-and-click adventure that leans heavily on its source material, drawing from the long-running German TKKG franchise. Rather than attempting to modernize or reinterpret the formula, it embraces a traditional approach to detective storytelling, focusing on dialogue, investigation, and steady narrative progression. The result is a game that feels like an interactive extension of the series itself—comfortable and familiar for fans, but somewhat limited in scope for a broader audience. The story revolves around a new case involving a boarding school where troubling incidents—ranging from intimidation to blackmail—begin to surface. Players take control of the four central characters, each contributing their own perspective and personality to the investigation. The narrative unfolds gradually as you move between locations, gather clues, and piece together what is really happening behind the scenes. There is a clear sense of structure in how the mystery develops, with each discovery leading naturally to the next. While the plot doesn’t stray far from genre conventions, it maintains a consistent tone that keeps the experience grounded and easy to follow. Gameplay follows the classic point-and-click formula, relying on exploration, dialogue, and puzzle-solving. Players interact with the environment by examining objects, speaking with characters, and combining items to progress through the story. The puzzles are generally straightforward, designed more to support the narrative than to challenge the player. This makes the game approachable, especially for younger players or those new to the genre, but it also means that experienced players may find the mechanics lacking in depth. Most obstacles can be solved with minimal effort, and there are few moments that require extended thought or experimentation. One of the game’s strongest aspects is its audio presentation. Featuring voice acting that closely matches the tone and style of the original series, it adds a layer of authenticity that enhances the overall experience. The characters feel lively and distinct, and the dialogue flows naturally, helping to carry the story forward even when the gameplay itself remains simple. The soundtrack complements this well, providing a consistent atmosphere that supports both the investigative and more lighthearted moments of the narrative. Visually, the game adopts a clean 2D style that prioritizes clarity over complexity. Environments are designed to be easily readable, with enough detail to establish setting without overwhelming the player. Character animations are functional but somewhat limited, often lacking the fluidity and expressiveness seen in more modern titles. While the presentation is cohesive, it rarely stands out as a highlight, instead serving as a stable backdrop for the story. The pacing of *Die Feuerprobe* is steady but predictable. The game moves forward in a linear fashion, with each objective leading directly to the next. This structure ensures that players rarely feel lost, but it also reduces the sense of discovery. There is little room for experimentation or alternative approaches, and the experience can feel somewhat repetitive as the same interaction patterns are repeated throughout. The game relies heavily on its narrative to maintain engagement, and while the story is solid, it doesn’t always provide enough momentum to fully compensate for the simplicity of the gameplay. A significant limitation is its accessibility. The game is presented entirely in German, with no official support for other languages. For players who understand the language, this enhances the authenticity and makes the experience feel true to its origins. For others, it creates a major barrier, as the story and dialogue are central to progression. Without understanding the language, much of the game’s appeal is lost. In the end, *TKKG – Die Feuerprobe* is a straightforward and faithful adaptation that prioritizes storytelling over innovation. It offers a relaxed, narrative-focused experience that will resonate most strongly with fans of the series or those looking for a simple detective adventure. However, its lack of mechanical depth, limited challenge, and narrow accessibility make it less appealing to players seeking a more dynamic or modern experience. It succeeds in delivering what it sets out to do, but it does so without pushing beyond its established boundaries. Rating: 6/10
