Great game, very bright and positive! Little dumplings are so adorable and make the world seem truly alive. I find some weird pleasure in distracting them from whatever they do, I hope they don't mind. :) The world is fully interactive, you can grab everything you see and rearrange the island as you prefer. Or you can take a tiny axe and chop some tiny trees like a giant lumberjack God.
Experienced on the Meta Quest 2
You can view my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/diH3b5ARMro I did enjoy playing this casual-style God sim. It's got a story mode which I really enjoyed, as well as a free mode (sandbox) which I really wasn't a fan of. You basically use these chopsticks to pick stuff up to help your little dumpling followers build their home. You'll help them build houses, sawmills, temples, grow crops, etc. They'll worship you by putting on a firework show for you :) The art style is very cute. The gameplay is super chill. However, it only took me a little over an hour to complete all the content, including playing in free mode for a bit until I got bored. Keep in mind, the game is in Early Access & the devs are looking for player input to decide where to take this game. I would just advise them that story mode is where it's at and I would like to see some consequences for your God actions. Choice. You can be a merciful god or a vengeful one. Let us see the fruits of our mercy or vengefulness, whatever the case may be. Game is running on the Unreal Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting mostly 90 fps. I did experience a few bugs, mostly the dumplings just not doing what they were supposed to. Usually, destroying the thing or clearing the area would fix the issue. You do have teleportation, along with snap turning available, and the ability to adjust your height up or down. As you understand this is early access. the bugs are here for sure. i personally had a couple of crashes and had to restart a level because this bagel fell through textures and quest never finished. I believe in developers though that they will work it all out, because the very idea of the game is brilliant. Story mode is still unpolished. you can stand in front of him and feel stupid thinking "what this donut wants me to do?". Free mode was more interesting. there was quite a few different objects, but I still brought landscape design to my pleasure - I planted trees as much as possible and arranged the houses according to fengshui :) Also wasn't clear at all what does the restaurant and the people around you have to do with the game. But I hope they explain what's going on later...
Wer weiß was noch kommt? 👀Ich bin Gott, wer bist du? Geeky House presents us with a very unusual control system for their chilling island adventure. Tiny Island has a sandbox and a story mode. I have only played the story mode so far, which I liked despite Early Access. The story itself is told in a Chinese restaurant. We sit there, presumably with our parents, and watch a silhouette between the menus that tells the story of the Tiny Islands. This is also an unusual idea. The idea of controlling the game with chopsticks is as unusual as it is simple. If we pick up the tiny inhabitants, the Dumplings, of our islands, we squeeze them slightly and they all look a bit squashed. The same happens with objects. If we exert too much pressure on the sticks, it can happen that we disintegrate a building in the air, for example, even though we only wanted to put it somewhere else. Basically, however, we mainly use the sticks to pick up things that help the little dumplings to build. In the course of the short storyline, we help build houses, sawmills, temples and grow crops, etc. If we are diligent and good-natured, the Dumplings worship their god and set off fireworks for us. The graphics have a cute comic style. The little round inhabitants look very cute and there are many different variations of Dumplings. The gameplay is very pleasant and chilled, and you should definitely play while sitting down. The entire story currently comprises three small islands with a tutorial and the game can be completed in just under 2 hours. Tiny Island is a pretty world with cute, cuddly characters that provide a certain scurrying factor. Tiny Island is not a Settlers clone, but rather a chilling god game for in-between. Who knows what else is coming? 👀I am God, who are you?
A very interesting game concept, I will follow the development of the development.
I really like the jellyness of literally everything! Unfortunately the sticks is not perfectly responsive in the meaning of taking objects. Sometimes it breaks the flow of the game. Hapticks is just great though. So polish the sticks mechanics and add more content and I will spend hours here.
Very fresh gameplay idea! There is not much games like this out there, unfortunately. However not much of content. But free mode have some potential. Hope they will expand it havily. Looking forward for next updates to try another time
