Tiny Football

This game has the foundations of a brilliant gem, but unfortunately falls short just yet. Hopefully, with future updates it will reach it's goal (pun intended)! the game does offer cute graphics and excellent animations of the pixellated minions, such as players waving their hands when getting upset, and the amazing goal score celebrations, etc. Also lovely that women's team are fully represented! I also appreciate how easy it is to edit and create teams, and love the concept of a one button control. However, gameplay is where it kind of falls apart. Perhaps due to that one button control, I do not know. But I have zero control over anything. A single button to play a pass. But sometimes players pass long, sometimes just a few pixels. Sometimes the pass registers about half a second late, sometimes it does not register at all. Switching players happens randomly, without much player control. Players also seem to be floaty, as if running on ice, so precise movement is out the window. There are some bugs too, like when running diagonally upwards to the left, the button repeatedly does nothing at all. And often a silly defender or attacker randomly stands just in front of the goalie, causing their shot to bounce straight into the goal. And I had a game glitch out after a strange corner where the ball ended up stuck behind the goal posts. So, passing is useless, as is dribbling and moving the players with any kind of control. All that is left is to run forwards and shoot powerful long distance shots. Which scores often enough, I actually won the entire world cup with this lame tactic. Edit: credit where credit is due, as sometimes, far from always but at least sometimes, the pixellated players actually act very sensibly. Sometimes passes hit home perfectly, sometimes the AI players do an automatic header or even bicycle kick with a well placed corner, sometimes the player jumps and avoids a tackle (I have no idea why it happens, if it is anything the player can actually control). There seem to be a fair bit of thought put into the programming of how the players act. So the foundations are there, with more polish, I believe ity CAN become something really good. If just gameplay is improved during future updates, this game can become a true gem!

Still better and more fun then E-Football and EA Sports dustbin bag of a game

Ein wunderbares old - school Fussballspiel in 8 bit Grafik aber mit deutlich mehr spielerischer Tiefe als früher. Es macht unwahrscheinlich Spaß, die Torschüsse anzudrehen und aufs gegnerische Tor zu bringen. Das Passsystem funktioniert mit dem gleichen Prinzip und gleicher Taste (je länger drücken, umso stärker der Schuss/Pass). Die Möglichkeiten im Editor sind auch sehr umfangreich. Natürlich ist es kein FIFA, aber das will es auch nicht sein, es erinnert mehr an Sensible Soccer. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Excellent game. The cute graphics, the gameplay, simple controls, hilarious animations.. a tribute to classic games of the 8 and 16-bit eras. The new editor and Steam Workshop enhancements really take it to the next level. You can create custom tournaments and seasons and share with other gamers.

The wonderful level of customisation allowed by the game was exactly what I needed to launch my youtube channel for simulated football matches. Really fun to play and watch.

Ich hab viel Sensible Soccer gespielt und hatte hier auf eine temporeiche Alternative gehofft. Es gibt leider nicht nur viel zu wenige Teams, nein, die Steuerung ist schwammig, den Ball ordentlich zu spielen bzw. überhaupt zum Schuss zu kommen, sind eine Zumutung. Sry, die Idee ist prima, aber sehr schlecht umgesetzt, wieder deinstalliert :/

Was really hoping for this to have the spirit of the original SWOS which has unlimited replayability although a bit old now... they have the look but the gameplay is awful.

das spiel erinnert mich an alte fussball spiele der amiga 500 era leider ist das abseits system echt schlecht,wenn man im mittelfeld ein ball an nimmt und hochlaufen will hat man direkt abseits genau so wenn man flügelspiel macht ein ball an nimmt im recht oder linkt im mittelfeld und den ball an nimmt genau das selbe.das macht das spiel kaputt hab dadurch viel spiele verloren,weil das bei den gegnern nicht passiert da ist das abseits system korrekt noch was wenn man aus dem game raus geht und dann auf fortsetzen geht ist das ganze spiel gelöscht ist alles schwarz und es geht nicht weiter,sollte man dran arbeiten,dann ist das game ein gute schnäppchen für 5euro.
