Thumper is rhythm violence: classic rhythm-action, blistering speed, and brutal physicality. You are a space beetle. Brave the hellish void and confront a maniacal giant head from the future.

I'm glad I finally got around to actually checking this game out. It's pretty good, yeah, I like the *feel* of the game. Sometimes it's the blisteringly fast speed, sometimes it's the actual feedback of the game? Hitting those air-slams on the thump pads and making the game freeze for like a fraction of a second, jolting back up to high speeds, landing *ANOTHER* air-slam on an already charged pad hits a certain feeling in me that I can't quite express, it's just a thing you need to see and feel. It feels good to be good at this game, when I'm good at it. I wouldn't say it's an easy game, either. It is, technically, a rhyhtm game, I assume. I know absolutely nothing about music, I bring no music theory to this table. What I can say is that the game feels like, to me, is that it has some kind of rhythm. The problem, though, is when the game starts to get *too* hectic for me. Everything I'm supposed to react to has a sound, a ping, a ding, a clap, a *vroooo*, and so on. The game gets to a point where it's so hectic I can't actually process any of that audio, some of the late game turns end up being frustrating because the only thing that gives them away, a clap, when I can't *see* the turn coming up, is drowned out in every other kind of noise and there's no way to separate THE MUSIC from THE SOUNDS. That's my biggest issue with this game? Those are the only times I've felt genuinely frustrated with the game. It's pretty unique, imo, or maybe at least it once was. From the audio design, to the visuals, to the weird premise that genuinely makes me want some kind of story for a game that probably didn't have much thought to its 'story(?)' other than "what if you were a beetle on a rail and there was an evil face sometimes", it's a decent fit for the steam deck (he says, having spent most of his time at the PC playing this), the control scheme is probably about as simple as it gets these days as it only utilises your analogue stick and the A button. Or the D-Pad and shoulder button, whatever floats your beetle you FREAK

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Thumper is a pretty awesome VR experience, very trippy, amazing nice crisp colorful graphics, has varying difficulty as you progress, its unique for what it is and over all just a fun experience with a high replay value, worth every cent.
я не знаю кто придумал кнопку заново но я тебя найду ♥♥♥♥ а так игра чистый кайф особенно в те моменты когда голова не варит на этом болиде жуке
重复度也太高了吧大哥
Addictive. Try to perfect every level.
好遊戲但跟音樂的關聯沒有到非常大,然後boss有點醜 熟悉了遊戲之後蠻爽的
Played on steam deck - 90 fps stable out of the box. The eye candy, precise inputs and this being my first rhythm game made me not want to play for more than 1, maybe 2 levels at a time from start to finish. I liked the first hour of the game and then I struggled quite hard on level 4 and especially on level 6. The rest of the game was much easier and I was able to beat it. Levels 8 and 9 are definitely gave me the most dopamine and adrenaline. I bet this is even more enjoyable in VR if you can tolerate that. For people struggling with difficulty, some levels I think require memorization, as the rhythm can sometimes be counter-intuitive. If you struggle with a specific level, avoid going for score, as you don't have to thump every beat, just avoid damage (except bosses and the laser sequences). When I was playing levels 4 through 6, I was still only looking at only the next thing that was coming towards me visually. Looking at where the road was turning towards allowed me to predict even the fast triple turns, follow the rhythm more closely and generally enjoy the game a lot more. I didn't bother going for perfect turns as I generally failed that a lot and never bothered with the score, so I ranked B or C for majority of levels past level 3. Overall a nice immersive, fun and unique experience.
Intense experience that makes me want to both keep going and take a break at once. Playing for 30M feels like 3H
я обожаю этот психодел о да собираюсь заново все пройти уроооо
