About
Throttle Trace reimagines racing controls without sacrificing depth. There’s no steering - just throttle and brake. Every corner becomes a test of timing, precision, and nerve as you balance on the edge of grip.
Beneath its minimalist inputs lies a serious racing simulation. Tire wear, heat, fuel load, dirty air, and car balance all shape your decisions. Push too hard and pay the price - hold the limit and gain the edge.
Race against AI opponents with distinct personalities and behaviors. Aggressive rivals, consistent performers, and mistake-prone drivers all share the same physics as you - creating unpredictable, human-like racing.
Build your legacy across seasons in a dynamic career mode. Earn your seat, manage your reputation, and navigate the consequences of every on-track decision in a world that evolves with you.
Jump into a race in seconds - but shaving tenths off your lap time takes skill, discipline, and smart strategy. Whether it’s a quick session or a long championship run, every race matters.
Unique two-input control system: throttle & brake only

I played an obscene amount of the demo over the past month or so, this is an excellent F1 simulator. This is a racing simulator where you don't steer. At first, this sounds like a crazy idea, but it *works*. Rather than focusing on maintaining the optimal racing line, you start thinking about braking zones, maximizing speed through corners, how aggressively you can accelerate out of an apex. There's also a really great track editor. I've been grabbing track layouts from the offical F1 site, importing those as reference images, and building real world tracks 1:1 in the editor. It's genuinely impressive how easy it is to recreate real-world tracks that match the actual length and achieve real times on them that match what the professionals are doing. The developer also runs an official Discord server with an incredibly friendly community. This game absolutely rips, 10/10, absolutely worth the money if you like sim racing or just F1 in general.
I've played Throttle Trace for an hour so have only done a few races and hot laps. So far I'm impressed with the gameplay and feel of the cars. Looking forward some multiplayer races when the player base has grown. The game runs smooth as butter on my PC. If you like racing games and slot cars I think you will like this.

It's amazing how fun a racing game can be with only braking and throttle. There's some things that could use some polishing, like the presentation; maybe some more fanfare before and after races. Then there's some minor nitpicks, but understandable for an early access game. Nothing game breaking. The core mechanic is solid, it's a lot of fun!
Car go vroom, me happy. Best DRS train simulator out there with really fun physics. 10/10, would throw the race in the last 3 laps again.
Spent a lot of time with the demo and wow this game took me by surprise. I was picturing an arcade-y racer with some light sim elements, I was NOT expecting my 10 year old to be enthusiastically working on his best lap time while I delve deep on tire wear, weather conditions, car customization and dirty air?!?! Getting into the career mode now and I'm already impressed, chats with fellow racers and rivals, contract negotiations that take into account my play style (sonic the hedgehog after 3 beers but who's asking). It's all REALLY well developed and fun to pick up and play. Really and truly there's so much going on (don'tsayitdon'tsayitdon'tsayit) UNDERNEATH THE HOOD (f***).
I was sceptical but it is an interresting way of handling a racing game. And actually, you have still some control over the steering to control how to handle overtaking and defending your position. The price is fair in my opinion so I would recommend to give it a try. You may be positively surprised like me.
Very fun and easy to pick up Racing Game. I am new to the genre and find it rewarding to play. Looking for the Split Screen Multiplayer and other Updates.
I love the concept, and for the most part, the game absolutely delivers. It’s a fantastic mix of racing and management that really makes you think about your braking zones, tyre wear, and the opposition. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes during Early Access, but the foundation is already strong and genuinely fun—which is exactly what gaming should be about. Performance on my main PC is rock solid, though it struggles a bit on the Steam Deck right now. Consider this a heads-up if you only plan to play on handheld, but the developer has stated they are actively working on stability. Overall, I highly recommend this title if you love high-speed racing with a strategic twist.
Great game so far and I'm hopeful for updates and polishing!
This is fantastic.
