3:21 is divided into smaller adventure games that open a dialog with the player and encourage interaction and exploration. Through the player's interactions with these that serve as a timeline of events, they discover what 3:21 is really about and just how real games can get.

A short, but very intense experience that plays with your mind and features a few very interesting concepts which I have to keep vague to not spoil anything. If you like old school adventures, exploration and a sense of mystery you might enjoy this! Also it's free :). Sidenote, the true horror in this game: It's certainly past midnight, but the clock tells you that it's 3:21pm!
It's interesting but its poor optimization ruins most of it. You should try it none the less because the visuals are great and its a fun game to experience (and its free) but if you dont have a good machine this game will keep you under 60fps, i guess that it must be more demanding then the open world "Mad Max" game or even the stunning "What Remains of Edith Finch"... Anyway, thank you devs for this free adventure and for that i think that it earns the thumbs up but i will only come back to it when its fixed. If someday you charge money for this game i advise you to give it a few patches and work some of its rough edges but dont give up on it. 6/10- just a bit above average in its release. If it had a good performance id give it a 8/10

This game is impressive but held back by some technical issues. To start with my major annoyances:

The framerate isn't great even after lowering many of the games settings it refuses to run smoothly.
Movement speed is really, really slow.
Finding objects to interact with can be a tedious proces.
The many mini games have their own internal logic which doesn't always match that of the type of games that are being mimicked.
However the game is saved by some very strong points:

The mini games properly represent games from the late seventies to the mid nineties.
Solution to puzzels in the real world can be achieved by playing mini games.
Puzzles in some mini games can be solved by interacting with objects in the real world.
A creepy atmosphere throughout the game that ties in with the story.
A moving story told through posters, notes, book titles and the mini games.
Many achievements that encourage you to explore the games world.
Don't let the technical issues stop you from playing this game, it's worth playing for the clever puzzles and the story behind it all.
It really seems to be an interesting game - and its even free. However... i cant recommend it right now, because to me it created a high level of frustration. In the beginning you're put into a room without any clue on how you can even interact with things and when you found out, it simply seems SOOOO slow... zooming in on objects to examine them should be faster or at least offer the option to interact with them directly and let zooming-in be an optional feature... What i'd wish for: - A Crosshair telling me about what i'm seeing there and IF i can interact with that thing (for hardcore gamers, this could be optional maybe) Then at least i would know if what i'm seeing is just decoration or really something of Inerest to me... - A short tutorial showing me exactly HOW i can interact with this game. Keybindings, etc. - The option to toggle running... (might also be i havent found that shortcut yet)... So, as to sum it up: Interesting but frustrating.
Very good game and it's completely for free
Edit (2 July 2017): I have changed my review to Recommended, not because I'm able to play the game (the performance issue is still being sorted out) but because of the great support from the developers. I am blown away by their service and for that, I believe even more in this project and hope that this game will receive the publicity and positive reviews that it deserves! As of 1 July 2017: TL, DR: I do not recommend it now purely because of the poor performance and very low framerates that I experience. This game is promising but I feel the optimization needs a lot more work. Even on Low quality, my framerate is choppy at best and I can't do anything - I feel like I'm watching still shots rather than a flowing seamless camera. My rig is able to handle heavy-graphics games like GTA:V, Dishonoured 2, SOMA etc. on Ultra and it handles like a dream but for this, it was difficult. Again, the game is promising and I'll return if there are patches to performance. I will update this review as soon as I'm able to get some good gametime out of it. Thanks, devs for this project and I hope you'll continue improving on it as your fanbase grows! 4/10 now, before patches.
It could take some time to load.
I really enjoyed this game. Every time I thought I was stuck I was able to re-examine my surroundings and solve the puzzle in front of me. Was not expecting the direction the story takes. So good!
I have a hard time reccomending this game. It seems like a cool concept, and i love these indie first person exploration type games. (Off-Peak is one of my recent favorites). However 321 assumes the player to either be much more curious than I am or much better at exploring. I got stuck fairly quickly in the game and the game does nothing in terms of moving your progession forward. I got a teddy bear on the computer screen and then was lost from there. That said it's free, so if you're good at exploring very abstract game worlds you may enjoy this.
