About
"Hi, and welcome to This Game is Simple"
This Game is Simple is a narrative-driven walking simulator that tells a story about the creative process. As the player, you are guided through a work-in-progress game by its developer, watching in real time as it gains new features and becomes more impressive. However, as the game becomes increasingly complex, our narrator begins to show signs of frustration. Before long, it becomes clear what the issue is.
They are no longer passionate about their game.
Experience a short, bite sized narrative that can be completed in one sitting for free in this indie game inspired by The Beginners Guide, Self-Checkout Unlimited and Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. Furthermore, relax and take some screenshots in the exploration mode- an additional mode that allows players to freely explore environments seen throughout the story. Finally, keep a keen eye throughout the main story, as you may just find a few secrets relating to your favourite games...

Reviews
I wonder if the dev of This Game Is Simple considers the experience of making it to follow the narrative of the game itself. Were they tempted to make it something else? Is the final product a genuinely simple game compared to what they felt sometimes pulled to make? Are they happy with their creation? I hope so.
This Game is Simple is an interesting diary/journal on the emotions of game creation and creative endeavors in general. As a free game it is definitely worth your time for the short half hour experience :)

Very charming game, felt like i was playing the begginers guide from the perspective of Coda while the game length is quite short the impact is strong! Awesome job! a big recomendation to play this if you are any type of creative :)
This Game is Simple... And I am happy to have experienced it.
it truly is a simple game
This game is simple is a great step into the mind of someone with passion and love for what they do. Despite it's short run time and simplistic gameplay, it is clear to see the message being portrayed from the start. Seldom has the struggles that come with turning an idea into a reality been shown so clearly. A topic that is so easily overlooked has gotten attention that many people can relate too, regardless of the origin of said relation. I've never made a game, nor had the courage to express the intense feelings of doubt that can come alongside making anything you feel passionate about. And yet, I am still able to apply the raw emotion present throughout to my own struggles and connect with what is being told. I've been following this games creation for a while, constantly looking forward to it's full release and eventual landing in other people's libraries. A strong first entry into the creators game portfolio, and I look forward to anything else that follows, whether it be a game or other source of media!
I really enjoyed this and what it made me think about thank you.
First game that made me cry in a while. So simple yet so refreshing. 10/10 no notes
The story was neat. The game itself badly needs some optimization. It's way, way too demanding for how it looks. Sprint should also be a toggle. Any game that incentivizes the player to hold down Shift to sprint 99% of the time is doing something wrong. Still, it's worth checking out for the story. The voice acting was really good (I chose the female narrator).
