This game is awesome the combat is fun, there seems to be a ton of different spells and items to use and the pandas and music are good to.
Awesome
This game was such a sweet surprise. I was entertained from start to finish (only did the story mode so far), even tough the battle style is very old school without anything special. Fortunately, there seems to be a lot of characters and spells to try out so it keeps it interesting. I might update my review after unlocking some secret endings.
Fun game! Good sense of humour, challenging but fair combat, and best of all, red pandas. Looking forward to going back in and trying some of the other party members and the challenge modes.
The Wrath of the Goose King is a gem of a game. Very funny and with some surprisingly deep mechanics thrown in. I've been enjoying the different characters you meet throughout the game and the story that unfolds too. Each run seems to be quite different but you can still make it work which is nice. You're not forced to go for a handful of meta builds, you can experiment and have fun. The artwork is fantastic too. Indie developers who make little passion projects like this need to be supported, they are healthy for the gaming industry as a whole, so lets support them.
Fun game! Has old school style turn based combat. Very simple to pick up and play. Plays at a chill pace (you can speed some things up in settings if you want to). The humor in it is top notch! Got quite a few chuckles from me. Well worth the $6 price tag, especially if you get it on sale. My only gripe would be I have encountered one or two bugs. Usually just closing and restarting the game fixes the issue though and it wasn't a deal breaker for me.
It's fun! And pretty funny. It's not really very hard though? I kind of accidentally beat it on my second attempt, before I even got any of the run currency, knowing basically nothing of the mechanics or options that would be presented to me. I won't say I sailed through effortlessly, but it felt like I always had enough resources to recover from battles that went poorly, and my random party (Hero, Monk, Dancer, Paladin) ended up having abilities that felt perfectly tailored to counter the roughest enemy tricks. That doesn't make it bad, though, just... not very hard lol. It's well worth the price of admission and I will probably pop in again some time to see what other content is there in the challenge runs and whatnot.
Was the very specific type of game I was looking for, the challenges were a great way to up the difficulty and I enjoyed exploring the different classes, items and spells. Highly recommend if turn based party combat is your thing and you want to get right to the combat and gearing while still having a fun story.
Some typos and other mild glitches but other than that this game is phenomenal. It is a fantastic roguelike with unique are and super enjoyable combat not your typical jrpg or rpgmaker bs. The story is super silly but really enjoyable, a nice balance. There is lots of content and achievements too this game is well worth full price and is a joy!
Pros: You can play as red pandas, such as Sir Muffins or Pandalf and much more Cons: You cant play as geese Overall a pretty fun, chill game. I dont think its that hard if you are familiar with turn-based games. PS: Please add geese as playable characters! :D
