played the first part on my phone way back 2022; decided to buy & continue and as far as i can remember - halfway through was deadass boring tho ending was good, need to re-play this when i have time lol

Loved the game and the story, Bigby is a great main character in my opinion. The game style reminds me of Dispatch. Honestly, I need more games like this to exist. I wanted more when it ended, but the comics are so expensive :')

This game is decent, but very overrated in my opinion. I still liked it, but it has very little replay value. It's no secret in the big '26 that "choices matter" is a lie in Telltale games. In TWAU, it's especially often where you can do every nice/good option but characters will still get mad at you because the game needs conflict. It's even difficult to fail scenes, where you can press no buttons and still continue through without dying. There are some saving graces, though. The artstyle is cool & unique even to this day, and almost any frame could be a great screenshot/wallpaper. The concept is unique and interesting even though I think it had a lot more potential than what was shown in the game. The story is alright, just don't expect to change much and instead be along for the ride. Telltale's Walking Dead is definitely better and more poignant. I'm still excited for the sequel that's been in development for ages, but I would not recommend the upcoming TWAU1 remaster when you could at least buy this one.
