The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

A short but silly game with witty humor and some fun philosophy. 9/10

This game is a quintessential showcase of pure monkey brain freedom. Although a short experience (the most i've seen is 12 hours at best). The amount of dialogue from the narrator makes this game repayable in ways i did not know were possible. Is this game for everyone? no, it's only fun if you are someone who loves waiting around.

I would recommend this game, but there are some caveats. This game is fairly niche in my opinion, and there's a certain type of person this game is going to REALLY appeal to and if you're that person then hey, go buck wild. I enjoyed Stanley Parable, but I also found that meta style humor is best in small doses, where as this game is like drinking it from a fire hose. Also, it's pretty short. The value of this game comes from all the different replays you can do, but after a few short hours I found the novelty had faded and the gameplay itself just wasn't enough to keep me engaged. If you love quirky walking simulators with lots of meta, 4th wall breaking references, then Stanley Parable is absolutely a game for you.
