Really fun game, finishes in about 5-10 min, simple and really well animated with nice music

rabbits scroll is truly a masterpiece. down to every little detail its perfect. this is my only serious review because its the only way to do this game justice. rabbits scroll is an experience unlike any other and it truly makes me cry every time i beat it. the story is amazing the graphics are next gen and its such a masterful game. it improves on everything other games have failed with and the animations are top tier. nowhere no place will you find a better game than this. this is truly terrific. the students at digipen really poured there heart into this game and it shines through. it exceeds triple a game like rdr2, god of war and roblox. this game is so perfect in every way and after i completed the main story i went back and played it a second time and 100% it. there isnt a feeling in the world like finally completing this game. people say "this games too short this games too quick" but they havnt fully experienced the game. they havnt taken the time to play through it again because each time you play through it theres more things to explore more places to go and more missions to complete. now im going to talk about the really special parts about this game. first off theres tons of easter eggs and references to other titles and shows like when the rabbit can beat up and fire hydrant thats a reference to the game called F.I.S.T where you play as a rabbit that beats people up. another cool reference is how there are these peachs that you can collect throughout your playthrough and there hidden in all the places you would never expect so you really have to search for them so that encourages you to explore so you can collect them all. anyway there a reference to the famous fruit called peaches that is grown in many different countrys. another fantastic improvement about this game is how the combat differs from any other game you have ever played. because you can fight in any style you want and choose which path you take every time similar to dishonored but way more choices for where you can go and so many weapons you can use. like for instance in the 3rd boss fight i used the combat shotgun but i say that most people just used the katana and the throwing stars because thats what you start out with in that mission. but i was able to pick up a combat shotgun and i also saw so many more options like a bow and arrow and a wizard staff. also when fighting the devious four most people just used the assault rifle that dwayne gives you but if you walked through the doorway on the left you would have found a stationary rail gun that would have taken down the bosses so much easier. speaking of dwayne the characters in this game are so fantastic and well written. the dialouge sends chills down my spine because they say such epic things. its truly amazing storytelling. the fact that the characters have dialouge that is so amazing further cements this game as one of the greats. i mean when the characters talk you can truly tell that they really mean what they say and can i just say that the voice actors did so well. i mean casting ryan reynolds as the final boss was so choice. jack black as dwayne was so good as he perfectly fits the character. and the actors for the devious four as just too good. speaking of the final boss its such and epic fight. i mean it when i say it. because no matter how you play like if you choose to get all upgrades and be uber powerful or if you choose for a challenge and such go in not as prepared either way your in for a fight. the final boss is so difficult but so fun because all the characters that youve met along the way even characters in side missions they all play a part in this and you use every single thing in your power to kill the final boss. and also the final boss is just too cool. i mean having a small cockroach as the final boss but also played by ryan reynolds the sexiest man alive is just too funny. because once you get through the first phase he just becomes so buff and powerful and thats when it actually is a challenge. and all the other boss fights before it are also super cool. if you havnt already played this game i implore you too because there isnt a better experience than this. this game is definitely worth the price tag and everybody should play it. as i play more and more of this amazing game i will add to this review because there is still much i havnt done
Silly rabbit, scrolls are for ink. 4/10
The Rabbit's Scroll is a student project from DigiPen Institute of Technology. One of the first things students should be taught in game development is that 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid 1990's with dedicated 3D cards like the Voodoo3 and the ATI Rage. But the students were deliberately mistaught that's it's okay to release obsolete 2D games in the 3D era of gaming... and certainly and professional developer seeing a prospective new hire who doesn't even know about 3D gaming probably isn't going to give them a job. Needless to say if an educational institution taught me incorrectly on purpose, I'd ask for my money back. is basically a 2D platformer-ish game where you control a blobby 2D untextured rabbit and climb to avoid the rising floor... it's not even a unique game concept and even for a platformer, it's shallow. I'm willing to go so far as to say this is the worst student project I've seen from DigiPen. We also have to question what value there is for gamers on Steam when institutions flood the store with low quality 2D video game homework assignments... sure, it might make the students feel good about themselves, but this has no benefit for gamers who have to wade through this stuff to find professionally made 3D games. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 14 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
