Better than the second game. Probably I haven't played the second game, all my bias is based of gameplay reviews and my time playing this game.
It's Not the Best Choice, It's Spacer's Choice!
★★★★★★★☆☆☆ (7/10) The writing absolutely carries this entire game on its back. The corporate satire is top tier, the sarcasm is peak, and the dialogue options actually let you shape conversations instead of just choosing between "Yes", "Sarcastic Yes", and "Yes, but for money." Turning a corporate dystopia into a comedy routine works surprisingly well, especially when you get to play around with absurd Science Weapons that turn board members into miniature targets. Where it stumbles is the combat, which is about as basic as a default skin. You point your gun, watch numbers pop out of health bars, and repeat. It feels like a standard RPG shooter straight out of 2011, completely functional, but nothing that will blow your mind. Furthermore, if you main-line the story like a speedrunner trying to finish a Battle Pass before the season resets, the game will end in a flash. Take your time, talk to every unhinged NPC, do every side quest, and actually enjoy the corporate hellscape.

The biggest issue is that it is underwhelming. It is an ok action RPG game but it just gets boring after the first 12h. The first section of the game is the best it'll ever get. The rest is just fine. If you are ok with the lack of progression in terms of story and general feel of the game this can be an enjoyable experience. I finished it but felt a bit cheated in the end.

Davvero un bel gioco! Non eccellente, non privo di cose che possono essere migliorate, ma è stato godibile. Ambientazione fresca, personaggi e storia interessanti. Consigliato!
Still the best way to play this fantastic gem from Obsidian!
