Unusual visual novel set on a luxury train, except nobody remembers how they arrived on it. The mystery does not remain a mystery for long as your character, an investigative journalist, tries to find out what is going on with the help and hindrance of the conductor. After that its about relationships, forgiveness, loneliness and making friends, or perhaps not. Having finished one route I'm not sure how much replay value there really is in this game, unless its left in your games library and you go back to it later. The game is well put together, the artwork is excellent, the character sprites are well defined to suit the characters and they are fully voiced. The script is well written considering how heavy the subject matter is and so far I have found no strange jumps as I make a choice. Some of the others have mentioned romance, but my route was more about friendship and accepting people for who they are, looking behind the mask. The surprising thing about this visual novel is that its for free! It appears to be fanfic, but like many free games, it sets a very high standard that many games that cost far more would struggle to achieve. I recommend it but with a caveat, the subject matter can be a bit heavy and the other passengers can appear odd, but I enjoyed it and will play it again, trying out the different routes, and getting to know the other characters.
I'm currently doing a challenge to play through a free game in every single category on steam. I then give an honest review using ChatGPT.
Game: 109 / 447 Category: Fantasy "Fantasy? More Like Frustration" As a visual novel, this game follows a reporter on a mysterious train where—supposedly—everyone is dead. But honestly? I wouldn’t know because the story is so mind-numbingly boring it’s hard to care. The writing feels like something from a high school drama club fanfiction: overly dramatic, riddled with clichés, and painfully unengaging. The main character constantly references irrelevant details from their past in awkward and cringy ways. The choices barely feel impactful, making the “interactive” part of the visual novel feel like a lie. And then there’s that moment where you’re forced to stare at the conductor’s backside—why was that even included? It’s not clever, it’s not funny, it’s just weird. Even fast-forwarding didn’t save the experience; it just made the dullness speed by faster. For a visual novel, which should thrive on compelling storytelling and immersive characters, this one fails at the basics. Definitely not worth your time.
lebian woamn hot
Genuinely really well done, I really enjoyed my time with this one! All the characters are interesting and likeable, but flawed. The designs are great, and it's fun finding the spirals on everyone. The VAs all did a fantastic job, too. I'm hard-pressed to pick a favorite character, tbh. I really love them all, and it's fun seeing Vivi's dynamics with everyone. Love her sense of humor, also! Surprising amount of variation in scenes and dialogue, depending on whom you hang out with and in what order—not to mention the affection and decay mechanics!
a bit cliché, but very cute. gave me an existential crisis and a soft spot for urshu
