Lachesis or Atropos is a horror/mystery yuri visual novel that sadly falls flat in delivering an engaging experience. The game centers around Shirasagi Mana, a private investigator with the unique ability to see "black strings of hate" between people. Despite this intriguing premise, the game quickly becomes a predictable and monotonous slog. One of the biggest issues is the pacing. The narrative, spread across approximately 45,000 words, drags with little to keep you hooked. The game tries to build tension with its horror elements and mysterious plot, but it all feels more like a dull routine than a thrilling adventure. The twists in the story are either obvious or lack any real impact, making the whole experience feel like it's just going through the motions. The choices you make are supposed to lead to different endings, but the journey to those endings feels unrewarding. The visual novel’s “cinematographic storytelling” sounds great on paper, but in practice, it comes off as bland and repetitive. The character art and backgrounds are serviceable, but they don’t do much to elevate the experience, leaving the atmosphere lacking the necessary punch to truly immerse you in this eerie world. Moreover, the game’s focus on yuri romance feels tacked on rather than an integral part of the story. The relationships don’t develop in a compelling way, and the emotional weight that should come from the horror-romance blend is just missing. For a game that leans heavily into these genres, it’s disappointing how uninspired the character interactions feel. In summary, Lachesis or Atropos had the potential to be a gripping horror visual novel but instead ends up being a predictable and boring experience that doesn’t offer much to get excited about. It might appeal to fans who are deeply invested in the yuri or visual novel genre, but for most, it’s likely to be a forgettable affair​

Uma ótima VN grátis curtinha. Um yuri com elementos de terror, e vários finais. Infelizmente só tem em inglês. Me deu vontade de jogar outros jogos dessa pessoa!

Beautiful VN!

I barely recommend this. It is good, I love the story, the characters, and everything. My absolute only issue with this game is that there is simply too many loose ends that do not get tied up. There is simply too much content that is not explained. It may be the only issue this game has to offer, but it is severe enough to dampen my opinion of the game. Should a sequel/prequel get announced, the game shall be perfection. But until then, it is merely a 5.5/10, purely because of the lack of explained content.

My favorite free VN so far. I never expected the story to be so good, otherwise I would've played this game sooner.
