Did you know that AGI is going to solve physics? That's an argument I've seen thrown around. "Worrying about societal and environmental consequences of AI is pointless, because once we get AGI, it will solve all physical problems" or some variation thereof. Assuming for a moment that AGI is indeed going to come out of the current pile of word calculators, let's ask ourselves a fun little question: What would the AGI actually do with the ability to completely break the universe open? Now, about whether this is a good game. Do you like the idea of the Backrooms, but the executions tend to be not to your liking? Have you ever worked a corporate job on-site (particularly software and/or game developer)? Do you like the flavour of the SCP Foundation? Then you might like it. I had a good time with it, even if some parts are a little rough around the edges. Mostly the lore feels kinda half-baked, but the ideas are fresh and timely enough that I'm giving it a pass. The gameplay loop in particular is quite original. It's [strike]not[/strike] not about escaping, escape is unproductive. You have a job to do! Namely, contain the anomalous spaces that exist as part of the facility - from the inside. And no, that doesn't mean you'll be stuck in them, how would you continue doing your work? The Executive Board would never approve such an inefficient solution. The facility iself has got that backroomy liminal vibe, but make it corporate instead. I'm not American, I don't generally vibe well with the 'Murkan flavour of liminality, but luckily, capitalism is global and eternal so it doesn't matter if you measure temperature in Celcius or Funny - hell is just as hot for everyone. The game does have endings - multiple ones. Some are more obvious, some require a little bit of exploration and thought. It's really up to you how thorough you want to be, I was curious so I got all endings; it's not a waste of time, many can be achieved very quickly if you know what you're doing. The game recommends keeping notes, and so do I. Or don't, and just go for the most obvious ending! Works too. 17% of players got the most obvious ending, the rate of the rest generally dances below 10%. Not the best numbers - the game is short, I was very thorough and slow and that's how I got 4 hours - so perhaps know what you're getting into. If you do, some advice: just roll with it when things get confusing. You'll get it. Curator page

EN 🔷 This walking simulator is a perfect balance between Liminal space, the Backrooms and the SCP Foundation. It's short (3-4 hours), but it's good. The atmosphere is on point. The power cuts were annoying in a good way, but the visual effects in the last level were hard on my eyes. Graphics are nice. Multiple endings. I can play with my controller and that's great. :D
Probably the best anomaly game out there. It's not just one hallway repeated over and over, but actually contains large areas to explore and multiple endings. Seems to be Severance inspired.
It's a fantastic Liminal Space game. !00% worth the asking price, without question. I guess a few key things for the tldr: - They're not doing the standard Backrooms yellow hallways or poolrooms that you frequently see. - The "anomaly" aspect of the game is environmental and well-implemented. - No jump scares. - No getting chased by entities. - Rewards exploration and experimentation. - It's a good example of how to do psychological horror without going overboard or relying on quick jump scares. They did a great jobs with the psychological horror aspect. In the way that they did it, it's something that gradually becomes more and more pronounced as you work through your playthrough. The sense of unease isn't there right out of the gate, and is something that progressively builds. It's well-paced. The game is what I'd call a mix of a liminal maze and a puzzler. The puzzle aspect isn't one of those "move the tiles" or "arrange the boxes" or anything like that. It's more something that'll start dawning on you probably about halfway through your first playthrough, which 100% adds replay value to try new things the next time around. As for the maze part, well, there's a reason they give you the sticky notes to post around. You can play the game just fine without using them, but I found that for my second playthrough, I realized just how handy they were to have. As far as the liminal aspect goes, I'd say they did very well. It feels very fresh take and like its own thing. I give the devs bonus points for doing something that actually feels original within the genre. It's most definitely not a rehash of the old yellow wallpaper hallways or tiled pool complex. They DO, however, poke fun at the standard backrooms trope (and allude to seeing MEG) as something of a really quick cameo from behind glass. There's great dark humor throughout, both audibly over the PA system and in the writing in the various bits of text you'll find. I feel like if you've worked in the mid-level office world before (whether analyst or management), there's a healthy number of more subtle bits and references (on top of the far more blatant and obvious satire) that'll give you a pretty hearty chuckle. All in all, great game. You don't have to be a Backrooms / Liminal Space fan to appreciate it either. I'd say they cast a pretty wide net in who this game would appeal to.
I spent an evening wandering through the maze-like, liminal world of The Office Rooms, and what an experience! No cheap jump scares here, just pure, tense immersion in a backrooms-esque atmosphere that sinks under your skin. The visuals are hauntingly detailed, and the sound design is superb, creating constant unease without ever feeling forced. I thought I’d just tick it off my backlog, but this game pulled me in and I can’t wait to explore more of its hidden corners. It’s a beautiful, well-crafted indie experience that deserves every ounce of praise.
Interesting game overall I suppose if you like exploring liminal spaces then this game is alright. This game isn't like the typical anomaly games and is more so of a find the PC sim to progress the game. The Office Rooms has great graphics and UI as well and it does have a system to where you can put a sticky note on a wall so you don't get lost. In terms of a horror aspect to the game it relies on sounds and atmosphere and this game has multiple endings so there is replay ability there. The only con I think of is that the endings are pretty abrupt and don't have much to them which is the reason I didn't pursue the others since it didn't really feel like I accomplished much. Overall an alright game with great graphics. If you like walking sims / liminal spaces this would be good but I just wish there was more to the endings https://youtu.be/uznK2RdxG2w
The game is well made in terms of graphics and music, but it’s very boring overall — typical tasks like going somewhere and activating or deactivating something. It lacks variety in content, even though it’s short.
A different experience for once in the liminal theme games! I adore the warm ethereal music, and the overall atmosphere and visuals. ^^
Just beat the game with 1 achievements. A super cool mysterious realistic backrooms game where you explore huge liminal office and desert corridors filled with glitching objects and flamingo's in search of the correct pc to end the anomaly. The game is much fun and trippy, a chill playthrough
