The Ninja

Honestly, I bought this game as just a write off to play some time because it reminded me of the flash games I grew up with. I am not sure how many things you did yourself Anthony or what was used from the assets available to you, but this was a lot of fun! I am a big fan of the metroidvania genre and I can say your game had less annoying mechanics than some of the big studio produced games I've played. For instance, yes the bosses were a little jank BUT when I died after the boss, your check point was before the fight and I thought I'd have to fight him again, but I didn't! I was genuinely surprised cause OTHER games would make me fight the boss again possibly! The music stood out to me a lot and the character design of the ninja, I liked the art style in general a lot. I also liked that you included a little shop in your game! For $1 this game is an absolute blast and I hope you pursue making more games in the future! P.s. I thought the game was bugged before at a certain point but I realised there was a Crouch button all along, maybe I was moving too fast to get the prompt to teach me that, but that's the only thing that confused me in the game!

This game was a wonderfully crafted project of passion that I had fun playing through. The developer, while it is their first game, clearly had a very creative mind when making this game, which paid off significantly. The game is short, but has fun and challenging combat, as well as beautiful visuals. The VFX is this game were very well done, and I adored how everything interacted with it's environment. Fun gameplay, good visuals, exploration being rewarded, as well as there being an evident drive in the creator to make a cool and fun game makes this a wonderful project to play through.
