The Nest

The concept is amazing and if they do ever work on this again I hope they can make it work. However, I got this game when it was purchasable for $1.04 (taxes included) and I was full of hope to play an amazing game filled with grappling hooks and shooting. I then discovered that it was not what it was made out to be. It says it is compatible with HTC Vive but whenever I try to load in the tutorial it brings me to a dark map which i presume to be the tutorial map. When I looked at the news to see that they have basically abandoned the project and made it free without paying attention to all the people who bought this game I was furious.\ Concept = 10/10 Execution = 0/10

Broken game, starting a match just freezes you inside the map and you can't move, see your hands or even exit back to the menu. Happy to change review if this is sorted, but in it's current state it shouldn't be available for purchase

Most inconsistent set of controls I've ever used in my entire life! One minute the trackpad selects stuff, the other it teleports me ACROSS THE MAP!

Unfortunately, it's probably free now because it's basically a ghost town. Good luck finding any other players online to play with or against. The good news is that you can play all the modes solo if you choose to host the game. However, there aren't bots in every map. Only the first map has bots for the Capture The Objective & Team Deathmatch modes. The game also has other modes, including Delete, which has single player objectives missions (not sure if it can be played online coop) and Infiltrate, which looks like an experimental mode, or at least I was not able to figure it out. You can select a sniper or gunslinger class. You can snap turn with either class. The sniper class has a very fun movement style where you can move freely in one direction (like free locomotion but only in the direction you're looking) and either teleport with a grenade like system or teleport via a grapple hook system (only available in some locations like sniper towers). You can also zoom in or out with your sniper scope. The gunslinger uses double handguns that can shoot very fast, but does considerably less damage than the sniper rifle (although you do have grenades you can toss). The gunslinger uses grappling hooks to move, but I found this class to be a little cumbersome to play. The main problem with this game is that the enemy AI is pretty bad. So it won't be much fun to play TDM or Capture the Objective against the bots solo. However, I think these modes can probably be fun with friends. Since this game is free to play, I'm going to give a neutral recommendation. [b]Rate 5/10. Probably fun with friends. [/b]

Especially since this one doesn't work anymore.
