About

THE MULLER-POWELL PRINCIPLE is a sci-fi thriller taking place in the near future. You are Harry Herman, a scientist at Delta Laboratories, a research company that specializes in interdimensional travel. You had been participating in a project that was supposed to benefit all humanity, but something went terribly wrong. To uncover the secrets of Delta Labs and set things right, you'll have to make your way through odd and surrealistic worlds.

Solve various puzzles and trick enemies with your special tool - the Portable Energy Manipulator, a weapon designed to operate with various types of energy․
PHYSICS PUZZLES & INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT
In this game, the solutions to the puzzles aren't obvious. Sometimes all it takes is finding a generator and plugging it in to power up a room. However, in many cases, a more complex approach is needed. You'll be interacting with many objects, such as computer terminals to find clues, obstacles to remove, and boxes to carry. Even a simple mug may come in handy. Explore the environment to find the best of many possible solutions. Here, you won't find a cube dispenser or a highlighted exit door at the end. It's all on you to figure out.
PORTABLE ENERGY MANIPULATOR
The device you carry throughout the game can absorb different energy types from the environment and use them to perform various tasks.
Absorbing energy from a particular source will give the gun its properties. Use heat from fire and radiators to melt glass, disable security cameras with a beam of light, and take hazardous radiation from toxic puddles scattered across Delta facilities. Eventually, you'll encounter quantum entanglement energy sources - the mysterious power capable of opening rifts between worlds.
Strange and dangerous creatures inhabit parallel universes. Most of the time, you can't defeat your enemies. But the Manipulator may help you to outsmart and bypass them. Some enemies can be frozen in place using the force field energy, while others are sensitive to light, so you'll have to blind them. The further you advance, the more thinking it will take to find your way out of another trap.

You find yourself alone in one of Delta Labs' off-world research facilities in an unknown dimension. Everything around here looks as if it's about to fall apart. As you find a radio transmitter, some people will contact you. It looks like they’re old acquaintances: Eugene and Alex, and it seems they want to help you find your way back. Here’s the thing: one of them is very friendly, while the other clearly thinks you’ve made a huge mistake and blames you for it. But whose advice is better to follow on your journey through parallel universes and surreal worlds?
Experience a story where your choice really matters. Can you get to the bottom of this, or just try to escape? Who to listen to? Who to trust? Which side will you take? Will you finally break the Muller-Powell Principle? That depends entirely on you.

Make your way back to Earth through mysterious parallel dimensions littered with puzzles and secrets to discover, uncover mysterious connections between the worlds you visit and reveal the dark truth behind Delta Labs and your connection to them.

Игра очень интересная, красивая и атмосферная, на визуальном уровне видно влияние Black Mesa, но местами очень нудно даже для любителя Portal, тем не менее это не портит общего впечатления)
The Muller-Powell principle, it's a soft mix of puzzles and walkathon/mini-novel. I'll give a mini-dive into each and tell you my thoughts at the end, so skip there if you don't care. Puzzles - I actually like the core mechanic of the game, it initially seems dull, as the puzzles start really easy, but once they feel you've grasped it, they QUICKLY ramp up the difficulty, and they also imply some mechanics from ones you've seen, assuming you've been paying attention, which I actually liked compared to the other parts of the game. The other parts - Unfortunately, there's these parts, getting between the puzzles is a chore, you're asked to stop and read "emails" to get exposition, which if you skip will have you missing half the actual story. Then walk while the characters tell you the other half of the story. It really saddens me they didn't take their visual learning aspect of the puzzles and lay it on here more. On top of all that, the game's got bugs (I got softlocked at least once by terrain bugs) and it isn't perfectly optimised either (the open areas tanked my frames on relatively new hardware), so be prepared for that. Overall, if this were a £40-£60, I'd tell you to leave it (There's many more games worth that money). At ~£15, I'll tell you it's fine if you're really interested in the mechanics. If it's on sale for 50% or more, then you've got a fun evening of gameplay.
girlbossing is disgusting, do not buy - do not help those woke devs
aside from an issue near the dark sun level its been pretty good seen some clips of working might be an issue on my side was really enjoying it i dont know if restarting it would help
Man this game is disappointing. I understand being influenced by Half Life and Portal, but this game is basically that meme of copying homework. It really feels like this was supposed to be a mod for Half Life, but was decided to be it's own thing and changed enough to be legally distinct. The movement and controls do not feel good either. I was also hoping that it would be more puzzle focused, but it focuses way too much on the story. The story is not good either, but not bad. I'd say below average, just forgettable and not interesting. The puzzles are also either too easy or are simple but not straightforward. Most of them are just going back and forth between rooms or bring this item to the next location. Overall, would not recommend.
Неожиданно, интересная игра со своей глобальной идеей загадок. Бесит только задачи на action, они сложные, я пришел поиграть в adventure/puzzle
Good graphics and atmosphere, and pretty terrible voice acting (especially in the beginning of the game, later on you'll be stuck with two voices in the radio that are all right). The story seems alright, but doesn't excite me. The gameplay, which is the most important aspect of a game, is pretty boring. It's a linear game and you go from one surreal, dark and miserable place to another and solve puzzles. You go the only way that's available and interact with the only objects that are interactable. And you read lore on computer terminals, Prey (2017) style. You get some story told via radio communication (the standard voice in your head), and some cut scenes. That's about it. There's also stupidly annoying chase scenes, where you have to walk (because you cannot run) away from a dark shadow monster, while solving time consuming problems along the way. You get to die a lot until you have figured out the perfect sequence of actions to take. Yawn. I can only stand to play it for one short session at a time (20-30 minutes), and the Steam achievements tell me that more than 80% of players have never finished the game. I did wait for a sale before getting it, because I've been through my fair share of disappointments too many times already. This is another one.
I would give this game a mixed rating if I could. Its a neat concept and some of the puzzles are fun, but its most incredibly annoying to play.
Played the game again on 4-1-26 Really good game. Very enjoyable .. and puzzles ... and more puzzles .. did i mention puzzles and doors and blue and amber electricity? yes those are puzzles too ... if you love puzzles as much as I Don't!! then this game is for you.. Surprisingly some puzzles took me forever to figure out. THankfully the developer added audio clues to repeat and I was able to figure out the goal in each situation. Fun. well.. was fun .. too many puzzles and i forgot I'm playing a game .. walking away from my computer now .. way too much to look online or YouTube for the solutions .. But HEY .. at least they put a few puzzles in this game .. I mean who doesn't like puzzles on top of puzzles with puzzles on the side and a warm portion of more puzzles with .. breakfast, lunch, and dinner and snacks .. and in between snacks . . . PUZZLES!!
The game is worth the money. Good puzzles, there are some new mechanics. Moreover, the plot is nice and you have a few choices in game. Only the control bothered me a bit, but I handled it.
