Everything the developer touches turns to gold, this game is beatable in under an hour but I'm still giving it the thumbs up. Not for everyone though.
Got high, Experienced reality, Discovered self.
Clearly an old game, but it has soul !
This is one of the games where I wish there was a star ranking rather than a recommend or not, because it didn't really fall into either of those categories for me. I wouldn't rave about it and tell someone they should absolutely play this game, but I also wouldn't tell someone they shouldn't ever play this game either. I think it just needs to be fleshed out a bit more, the story is interesting, but feels very surface level. I think this is a game that would benefit from a longer play time, so that you have more time getting a feel for the characters. The pacing moves around too fast and I had a hard time really caring about anything going on in the story. I like the message it's trying to tell, but again, it doesn't linger on anything long enough to really get to me, though the ending did make me cry, but that could be that it hit a few things for me personally. There's a lot more narrative describing what's happening than actually seeing the characters do something than I expected, though I'm not sure what could be changed to help that. The artwork is really good and the music is pretty, though a bit loud, I had to keep it almost all the way down for most of the game, and the volume system isn't the best (I'll admit that's more of a personal nitpick though). I think this game could hit the right person if they played it, and the price is definitely not bad, so I would say, if you're interested enough to be checking out the reviews, then go for it. And for those wondering I'd give it a 3 1/2 star review.
It's a travesty that this game is this underrated. I originally bought and played the Müll Littoral on itchio back in 2016 or 2017. I thought about it often and finally bought and played it here. I absolutely loved joining Juul again on a journey through the world Ozzie has created (the game was made by one person!) The tags are point-and-click adventure, but to me it's more of an interactive visual novel, and a glimpse into another world. The soundtrack, particularly in the beginning, is fantastic. The characters are memorable, as is of course, the art, from the text boxes to the backgrounds, character designs and creatures.
