The Steam Personal Calendar back at it again putting a fire release on my radar a couple of days before launch
The Lost Mixtape initially gave me, "We have Stray at home" energy, but this short, tight experience stands on its own. For a world that doesn't use many words, the setting speaks volumes. Experiencing this abandoned mall as a trash panda exuded urban exploration vibes while also putting me on to some groovy tunes. Gameplay is simple, a few puzzles here and there, adventure, find new cassette, vibe, find collectible, adventure some more, etc.. This isn't going to be your next time sink (which I love) as the game took me an hour and that's with stepping away twice and finding most of the collectibles and gumballs. There were some interesting plugs for Vided Studio's next game which is already on my wish list. I am hoping this game reaches its target audience as the experience was sublime and well worth the money/time. 19k+ games released on Steam last year, I'd imagine we'll hit 20k+ in 2026. Do yourself a favor, skip the coffee and pick up The Lost Mixtape, you won't regret it.

It's a fun little cozy exploration game with a charming environment filled with cool little Easter eggs. The music is wonderful and really helps set the tone!
A great but short time with solid world design. Even with such a short game you can really tell the amount of time they put into the world and making sure how to subtly guide you to the right direction. Every nook to explore was rewarded. It was a bit hard to figure out where exactly you would fall off a platform but outside of that really enjoyed the controls. Grab it if you're looking for a nice little exploration game. The music was all solid and enjoyable. Wet parking was my favorite tape. I am excited to see the future developments of Vided as they clearly have something here. I would strongly advise on optimizing as this doesn't run too well on Steam Deck but is a solid a quick bite title that would be great for killing an hour on the go.
About an 1 - 2 hr of gameplay. (I missed an early collectible and had to backtrack later) Tons of things to find, areas to explore, some just out of sight to find, and some excellent music! Can we talk about the jumping though? Sometimes I felt agile, aerodynamic, flying through the air with grace and other times I was just a fat sack of fluff that just fell to the ground unexpected... I imagine it's similar to an actual raccoon. Both loved and hated the experience. Overall, solid exploration collection game to spend an afternoon on--especially for the price (on sale $3.99 USD) and to support an indie dev team. P.S. The messages and real QR code for Léo was NICE touch. Love clever details like that.
Don't forget to feed the raccoon :0 10/10 soundtrack Would recommend if you're a casual or completionist !
Cleared my first run, only got 50% of the special candies. This was a wonderful impulse buy; great exploration and wayfinding. The space being relatively compact gives them an excuse to make you work for finding your way around; there were some tricky spots to figure out how to get to but it always felt great to find a way through. Most importantly a spectacular soundtrack from the main artists and the supporting ones. I grabbed that right after finishing.
It's not the destination—it's the journey. That's what this game is all about. I've completed it twice, but my second playthrough was even more enjoyable than the first. The soundtrack is among the best you could expect from any video game studio, let alone an independent one. The gameplay mechanics are truly underrated, the movement feels smooth and intuitive, and the open world gives you the freedom to revisit and explore areas you may have missed. I was already hooked after my first playthrough, but it wasn't until I started my second that I truly fell in love with the game. It scratches an itch that very few modern games do, for the same reason we keep coming back to the classics we grew up with: it's simply fun.

I cannot describe how much peace and joy this game gave me! Me and my partner did a parallel play of this game and it was so much fun. His favorite was Dumpster Luck, mine is Wet Parking. One of my favorite features has to be where you're able to play music with the headphones off and still enjoy the ambience!! It truly was an amazing game! As I type this, we are actively talking about what could have possibly happened to the world we were thrown into. Genuinely looking forward to the next one!
