A Strong Premise, But I Struggled to Stay Engaged The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante starts with a fascinating concept — a grim, philosophical tale about fate, class, and choice. The world is bleak and well-crafted, and the writing has a literary tone that clearly aims high. Unfortunately, while I can respect the effort and ambition behind Chapters 1 & 2, the actual experience left me cold. My biggest issue was the pacing. The story is slow to unfold, and while that might work for some, I often felt like I was reading more than playing. The choices, while seemingly meaningful, rarely gave me the emotional payoff or narrative weight I hoped for. Moments that should have hit hard felt distant, like I was guiding a character through a script rather than shaping a life. The tone is relentlessly heavy — which fits the theme — but without much variety in mood or rhythm, it becomes exhausting over time. I kept waiting for that moment of connection, for something to grab me and make the struggle feel worth it. It never really came. Mechanically, the game offers some interesting ideas with its morality systems and life paths, but the interface feels clunky, and there’s a lot of text management that slows things down rather than immerses you. There’s definitely an audience for this kind of narrative experience — people who love lore-rich, choice-based storytelling with a tragic flavor. But for me, despite the quality of the concept and writing, the experience felt more like a chore than a journey.

👍
One of the better text-based games out there.
Игра огонь. Жду скидки чтобы купить продолжение.
худшая визуальная новелла
Для более полного погружения в события игры не хватает озвучивания героев (хотя бы прямых реплик и мыслей гг)
