The Last of Waifus

i REALLY RECOMMEND THIS GAME EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT. buy it or your gay

I work for a company with a product in the tertiary market of the game industy and that have a hero product with several millions of young male gamers. I had not heard of this game until it popped up as popular game among our users a few years back. So naturally that made me interested and made me keep it on my radar. I pulled the tigger and got it for cheap on the Summer Sale, figured it would be good 'user research' case study. I have now played the game for a little bit. Honestly, its far from amazing and not something I would have bought and played for myself but I have certainly seen and played worse games in the past. I can now easily see how it was trending for a while amoung our users. The 'waifu' + zombie combo makes for an appealing theme fusion that should have good chances in both West and East. Especially for a young and male target audience. The low price point adds to the attraction. Creatively and production value wise it's definetly in the derivative asset flip pool. It doesnt try to be anything more than that and that is fine. Asset flips can be fun. Goat Simulator says Hello! For this, or a game like this, to be successful in the East the character design and anime-style would need more love and care. I was expecting the game to lean even more into the NSFW waifu theme than it did. It was more just a standard, early aughts 3D-visuals, zombie wave, third-person shooter than anything too risqué. So I played it with me four year old son. He loves zombies. He stood behind me on my chair and screamed excitingly everytime a zombie came running towards me. In his mind the zombies were simply 'guys' that was 'hurrying home to sleep'. I put a lot of them to sleep. He laughed all the time. So all in all, if you want a little mindless fun and can accept some waifu trappings and generic low quality wave based zombie shooting this could be a good little game for you.
