O una peor versión de A Story About My Uncle.
Puzles y rompecabezas.
The Land of Lamia durchaus spielen.
Tags: Adventure - Console Style Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: No Xbox360 pad. Fixed camera angles 2-protag object routing through stiff and cryptic puzzles that are very hard to execute correctly. 3 minigame instances and game is done. So basically this is three instances in which you get a few hints on a piece of in-game art and you are dumped in a 3D environment. You have to manage momentum of characters that dont walk at same speed and in minigame 1 you have to race your way out of a very easy maze, in minigame 2 you have to play tourist find a bunch of easter egg art pieces scattered around which gives the correct sequence upon which you must dance your 2protags on a stone floor to unlock a door, while on the third minigame you just gotta navigate to somewhat hidden areas, and solve a weird vienna circle logical puzzle. The game does not have much of a plot hook. Kids dream of something they know about called gimbal.... and lamia... from their book and are trying to... escape the living dream? Think of it as knock off alice in wonderland. Or a failed psychonaut. Or a worse version of A story about my uncle. In any case this game suffers from low content, poor execution and tedious progression. For a game of this style it is also noteworthy that there is no gamepad support whatsoever, why bother with the fixed camera angles and all the limitations then? Just let the player adjust the camera using keyboard? Not worth keeping around permanent library of titles. Removing local data and moving to hidden archive.

So this could potentially be a sweet and short puzzle game but it ends up being not-too-accessible and didn't really make me want to put my time into it. (This is one of these games I don't even remember how they got into my library but wanted to understand what's the deal with them) Technically speaking this is not the most impressive game you'll find, even for indie titles from around a decade ago, but it's not really bad, just cheap. I did find the graphics, music, and the whole mysterious guiding-book mechanics intriguing enough to at least want to finish this and give it a try. The thing is the controls are fairly unique and would really test your nerves. Basically you're controlling two characters - brother and sister - you'd move them both simultaneously by using the arrow keys. So far so good. The catch is, the sister would run fast by default. What do we do? We'd press Shift and then the brother would run faster than her. So basically that means throughout the entire game (which consists of 3 levels you'd probably bean in half an hour IF you know what you're doing) you'll have to "balance" their distance on and on. Looks like the puzzles are pretty much based on this mechanism and it's not completely bad, in my opinion, and I find it kind of unique and interesting. On the first level I have actually enjoyed the challenge of figuring out what to do and get the controls right. Second level - here you actually have to explore around the environment back and forth to understand what to do next and what's the objective exactly. Here I've quickly lost my patience, since this has stopped being fun.. When you add to the controls mechanics the weird and uncomfortable camera angles, this just makes you want to quit. And so I did :)
