The Incident at Galley House

Amazing experience.

I play a lot of games, mostly cozy games and whatnot. I love puzzle games but often I feel like I get stumped easily and can't move forward. I also love a good supernatural/murder mystery type of theme and well, this one had it all. I was able to do the problem solving and move forward without feeling too stuck, there are ways to work through spots that you don't know the codes for and find your way. In addition, this story was amazing. My daughter came out at one point early in my first couple of hours and got interested, and she never left my side from there. It became a family game. I grabbed an HDMI and put it up on the 65" tv and we kicked back on the couch and played for two days straight until we finished the whole game. My husband walked by talking to us a couple of times only to realize he was getting nowhere because we were so enthralled in the game we weren't hearing him. It was amazing. Hands down one of the best games I've played in years. Thought I had a clue, NOPE silly me! Twists, turns, constantly watching a scene and looking at my daughter going whaaaa???? Yeah, I can't recommend this one enough. I went to work this morning raving about it and recommending it to all my game loving coworkers!

Fans of Agatha Christie and other murder mysteries, rejoice! This is a delight to play for everyone that likes a mystery to sink their teeth into. The story is intruiging, and every scene gives you just enough information to make you want to keep playing. Many of the characters have a believable well-roundedness to them, and the artwork and voice acting only make the realism of their personalities shine even more. A lovely little mystery that I'll be sure to recommend to friends of mine who like the same stuff. I will definitely be playing more of Evil Trout's games.

Pretty much if "Her Story" had the plot of [i]And Then There Were None[/i] (affectionately!). I really enjoyed playing this game, it had me completely glued to my seat for hours on end. The voice acting and art was great and the story was super intriguing. I will say that a lot of this game involves just sitting around watching cutscenes, and whenever there is a puzzle to solve, it's always pretty easy (I never once felt even a little compelled to get a hint). But overall, really great game!

Great story, it was extremely engaging. I was lucky to have a free afternoon to finish the game in one sitting. Def recommended.

Amazing balance of difficulty and discovery - would love to see a sequel or expansion

TLDR: A very intriguing and atmospheric mystery visual novel-type game with some 3D elements that give the player a unique kind of agency, with a crazy reveal at the end of the game that made it so memorable. Totally recommend. I was very much in a mystery game kick when my friend recommended I pick this up, and boy did it scratch the itch! There were a few times here or there where my tired brain (late night) needed some help with the hints, but overall the context clues are good for figuring out the next scene. The atmosphere and story were both very good and spooky. I liked that the characters were very unique and memorable. I HEAVILY enjoyed the fact that we ourselves had to use context clues to assign names and profile images for each character as well. The plot twist/switch up at the end (no spoilers) blew my mind, gave me like a "you can do this??" type of feeling I haven't felt for any games in a long time. The conclusion of the mystery left me feeling a little unsettled, but I've never experienced this kind of phenomenon in any piece of media before.
