This is just as engaging and all-consuming as The Roottrees Are Dead, the previous game by this developer. If you liked that game, or enjoy deduction/puzzle games, give this a try. And if you haven't played The Roottrees are Dead, you should get on that.
An excellent remake of an already excellent game. I bought this to support the devs since I loved Type Help so much, and even though much of the game was as I remembered, eventually a whole new mystery started to unravel. Absolutely a must-buy!
while I wouldn't say this was a bad game, it wasn't good either. I really wanted to like this game, I loved the rootrees are dead, however this just didn't do it for me. The gameplay loop is incredibly repetitive, difficult in a way that is time consuming and a little vague, but not satisfying. I finished the game very quickly, the rootrees are dead took me a lot longer to think things through. It was pretty obvious who everyone was very early on, and what was happening, I was less than half way through. The game looks good and the actual game runs just fine. I just couldn't say this was an enjoyable game, which is a great shame. There something about the lack of proper closure for the events that is disappointing, we have no idea why the things are happening. SPOLIERS: I also felt like the ending was a bit.... confusing? I feel like based on the established rules the player character shouldn't have survived. Yes, we didn't know the man who died in the final act, but we did know all of our colleagues.

I went absolutely feral for the original, and this is an excellent adaptation! (Can't be quite as feral this time since I already knew the story, alas.) Some of the text-based elements wouldn't work in this new format, and the replacement they've provided is very cool, so it's worth playing even if you played the original. The interface is a big QOL upgrade, too.
Up to around half way through the game I was taking a ton of notes, trying to unravel a web of countless lies and contradictions. After that I took literally zero notes. This game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rocks. Don't you dare spoil yourself, just play it.
