The Gardener and the Wild Vines

Really good! Launching yourself up towers by causing plants to sprout never stops feeling great, the levels are nearly always just the right length (as is the game overall), new mechanics are introduced at a good pace and never gets overwhelming, and the story sureness strikes a nice balance of silliness and heartfelt emotion. Definitely worth checking out!

This is a great game. It has really amazing feeling movement with interesting Levels, all while telling a short but sweet story about self discovery and in a way the importance of a functioning support system when one struggles with doubts. Can strongly recommend this game.

Okay but this was actually just cute and feelgood and sometimes that's exactly what you need. Never particularly challenging but not completely effortless either. Exactly what's promised on the tin, basically - a short platformer with a gay love story, so if you are interested in it, it delivers.

*I received am copy of this game for free from the developers* I loved this game so much! I'm fairly new to platformers, so I was expecting to struggle a LOT, but I had so much fun, even when I was struggling! The story made me cry many times, and I think it's a perfect mix of storytelling and play, and has great parallels to real life situations that people may be struggling with. Long story short, this game is beautifully written, and is so much fun to play. Definitely give it a go if you can!

Incredible game! The art style reminded me of paper mario which is one of my all time favorites. The story is really cute an basically the perfect length. The game play is easy to learn but has a ton of depth. This has a ton of potential as a speed game. Lots of little movement tech and optimizations to be discovered. I can't wait to see what people do with it!

omg i LOVED this game. i decided to pick it up because of the gay protagonist and his quest to find his prince bc that is the cutest ♥♥♥♥ i've ever heard and there are not enough wholesome gay games BUT what i got was that and MORE. i don't really play platformers but the mechanics in this game are so unique and fun. the soundtrack and sound design are phenomenal and the characters are SOO good. also i love that they added narrative/story elements that touched on important social topics happening in the world now. 10/10 game. oh also i fully cried at the end. the world needs more games like this <3

This game is very heartfelt, and its also pretty good! Fun puzzles and cool climbing mechanics, but Im a bit sad that the flower combos aren't that integral, at least in the story mode they felt a bit unnimportant, because they do feel good to pull off.

Man, this was so cute. A game where you help your lovestruck Gardener climb the towers to rescue the Prince so they can be gay as ♥♥♥♥. The gameplay of climbing the towers was pretty fun, cutting up the vines to grow leaf platforms never got old for me, especially with the combo system that makes you have to think about where to grow the vines and when to move to the next tower in the level. The dynamic between all the characters was pretty fun, even if the Magician did his whole "I'm the greatest at my craft and you will die" type speech. Game isn't too long, only having 4 worlds. But the story does make the game feel longer than it seems. Maybe we could have gotten a 5th world and rebelled against the King, he sounded like a jerk according to everyone in the game. The challenges were also fun, making you rush to get some great combos while being fast enough to beat the level. Made for a good time. If you wanna help a Gardener kiss the Prince he so desires, I recommend this game.
