Whilst the game undoubtedly excels in creating a convincing horror atmosphere, it falls flat in just about every other facet. There's no dialogue, the visuals although refreshingly stylised are janky, the puzzles are simple, and the whole thing's just mechanically lacklustre overall. The camera controls leave a lot to be desired, and from my experience, there's no controller support outside of basic tank controls. There's a lot of room for improvement, but with a total playtime of around half an hour, I just don't think it's worth the money right now, even at such a low price point.
Very cool!
__________ A rather short game. It can be finished in less than an hour. Which is not to be considered a problem given the price. The atmospheric aspect is good, as is the narrative aspect. We easily understand the themes and the little story told by the developer. The sound aspect is also of good quality. Very nice music and, even if it is not always at the top, the sound design worked and is effective. Good aesthetic ideas, obviously inspired by Silent Hill. The major issue of the game is in my opinion its enemies. The game does not really have a gameplay to face them, it is necessary to run away. I thought I noticed that the flashlight played on their ability to follow us, but the mechanics can be frustrating and clunky. Death animations can also look messy. However, I recommend. A good intention and a nice little game with some really good ideas that will entertain you for an evening.
A nice little poem in the Silent Hill vein. Through the skill of the camera and audio captures the emotions of the character and uses few words to tell the story
Short, but admirable game for its price. Poetic tribute to Silent Hill.
This is a very solid game marred by the turning of the character/camera controls. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibe that game is goin for. Seems to be inspired by the original SIlent Hill games which is nice. Just have to get her out of that frozen water. I just wish the character turn controls were less sensitive and that the game had a bit of voice acting. Despite the fact that I got halted by a bug/glitch after gettin' back in he house after the [redacted] crash, I aim to continue this one further. Solid effort from Distorted Production. Short but not bad
The controls are sensitive, the camera changes angles constantly making it difficult to keep going in the direction you want to go. I don't often get motion sickness when playing video games, but this one really set my nausea off. Looks like it would be an interesting storyline if you can get past that though, may try it again eventually.
