Hello there, I am Jakaryy, the guy who kinda sorta made the music to this game and did a fair bit of testing it. I normally do Steam reviews for fun using bullet points but thought since I had a very small part in the development of this game, I'd instead write a brief summary of my thoughts on this game while attempting to remain unbiased as well. First thing to note: I am personally not a huge fan of platformers, specifically 2-D ones such as this game. It simply has never been my thing, and I don't necessarily have a dislike for it either, I just don't play them nor do they ever catch my attention. For this game I have the same scenario, but my lack of interest doesn't develop in time before I complete the game... or rather, I finish the game before becoming bored of it... or rather this game is fun to play and doesn't drag on... or rather... ehh hopefully you get my point. The main appeal for me is the blend of the difficulty and the total length. It typically takes around 1-2 hours to complete all of it, but I have yet to 100% the game (Collecting all Bananas = Achievement Get!) In that time though, some levels take all of a few seconds to complete, while others run upwards of a full minute; this of course not including the amount of times you fail. The difficulty curve steadily climbs with only levels associated with new mechanics having a drop in the curve, thus keeping it interesting while not repeating itself mercilessly. The combo of playing this game in one sitting and still feeling accomplished while completing what feels like a solid challenge feels satisfying to me. My couple of issues with the game are not glaring, but are nonetheless issues I find. An annoying one being a bug that can freeze Monsieur Grape in place when standing on the locked boxes that need the key to open them. He is not permanently stuck, but in some cases (especially for a speedrunner) it can hinder your momentum and disrupt your current run of the level. Only a handful of seconds lost, but it is indeed annoying. In some cases, the camera angle isn't quite focused on the main path of the level, such as when a new mechanic gets introduced like the green jump pads, and is not dynamic. It remains static so on larger levels, you have a decently sized view, but on some levels that are more confined, you can't see hazards ahead of you such as when your momentum takes over or mobile hazards, like the saw shooters. Last note: The music is good. Like I said, I kinda sorta made it. Hopefully this puts some idea as to what this game is all about. Let me know if I appear biased in this. I'm writing this with the intention of helping my friend out while also acting as a neutral observer, which follows a very fine line. Otherwise, I hope you enjoy this game and look forward to hearing everyone's thoughts on it!

I write this with absolutely no bias. Game is fun.
I'm playing this game, because Jakarry told me to on one of his streams. But none the less it has some good gameplay. I feel like the inspiration for this game is Super Meat boy. Without a doubt, the game can be challenging. Though some levels are sorta lame. Where you have to take a blind jump of fate. Like in lvl 14 when it introduces "slime-jump" mechanics to the game. You have to go through trial and error to figure out how to beat the lvl. Lvl 10 was a bit difficult aswell. Mainly because I wanted the banana. It was in a really cheeky spot. I really had to cheese the lvl and its hitbox of the grape man. (Also not sure if this is a intentional game mechanic. But when the banana is collected. "Time" of the game is slowed down.) Controls are pretty responsive. Though one time in one of the lvls, I clearly touched the banana. But the hitbox didn't register. Graphics are pretty alright. It fits the art style of the game. Jakarry did a nice job on the pixel-music/8bit whatever you wanna call it. Soundtrack is pretty aight. (Jakarry youre the only person i know that can write 2 reviews on a singular game) It does have some replay value to it. Which is just simply getting a better time/score. Collecting all bananas if you haven't when you beaten the game. Not the dArKsOuLs of 2d platformers. But pretty good in my book. Has difficulty to it. But overall swell. ===== I allowed comments, if you have anymore questions. =====
Before I played The Fantastic Adventure of Monsieur Grape!, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Better love story than twilight. 10/10
Fun game for a couple of hours! It'd be great if the obstacles would always have the same timing when being reset though.
40 + levels it's a fun game achievements work whats not to like would recommend to anyone
platforming game 40 different levels find your peanut friend collect banana's simple - would recommend
Momentum
Pace estimated from the game's recent review growth (our daily snapshots) at its own sales-per-review ratio — a momentum signal, not booked sales.
