"The Faded - Chapter 1 - The Perish Forest Demo" is not a game. It's an advertisement/demo for an unreleased/possibly never will be released/probably abandoned 2D retro pixel shovelware adventure game, using Unity to rip off the super crap RPG Maker construction kit garbage format. Did I mention RPG Maker is garbage? Imagine taking a proper, useful game engine and deliberately making crap with it. Anyway. Implementation here is particularly bad, with ugly 2D retro pixel art used instead of contemporary graphics, possibly due to lack of skill/talent, or sufficient budget to hire someone capable of making video games, regardless, it looks crap and that's what gamers need to know. Other aspects of implementation are on par with this, crappy controls, bad handling, terrible story. Resolution and controls are locked so there's no way to improve the experience of this advertisement. It's a common mistake when unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers, but at the end of the day, I can only recommend full, correctly published games to gamers. Because this is just a demo, and because of the other problems with it, I can't recommend it.
