A funny game that embodies the annoying parts of old adventure games (on purpose), loved it
The game is currently in early access and as such the graphics need to be finished (though they could simply chuck them in the bin, its a text based game ;) ) and there are a number of bugs. It is however early access (version 0.11 atm) That said. As a fan of The Dark Room in real life, this game is great and good for a chuckle. I'm just waiting for night to truly fall before continuing. I do however wish they could let John off the hook a bit more (or have a option for Late Night Dialogue ^_^)
I'm so glad I found this game by total accident! The humour is incredible, the play style is great, the motion capture and style of animation is somehow very mesmerizing to me. I love
how even the simplest action that you don't do has big impact on how the game will play out
It took me a good amount of trial and error but I made it through. Very addicting and I will recommend this to anyone who has patience or just wants a good time!
When I played it, there was maybe an 1.5 hours of content and it was hella promising. Here's a clip from my stream way back then. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/336479342
love this game.... so funny. Still trying to get all of the acheivements
John Robertson is one of the funniest humans I have ever met. This game is addictive and brilliantly executed.
Great game, but has long since been abandoned. There is a fan patch, but at this stage doesn't appear to fix everything.
I was worried about this living up to the live show and it does perfectly. If you haven't seen the show yet, I recommend you go see it ASAP.
Only a third completed (but its not completed as specified when you buy it i guess), Game crashes depending what options you pick and your checkpoints reset, which ends up wasting time. For £10 I expect a game to be longer, I would say this is worth £5 in its current state.
If you love a game that makes you think and punishes you for being stupid, well then Darren, you've come to the right place.
