At the close of the Iraq War, Special Forces hunting for weapons of mass destruction unearth something far deadlier – a buried Sumerian temple containing a nest of unearthly creatures. To survive the night below, they must forge a brotherhood with their enemies from the world above.

Reviews
Overall, this game hits it out of the park with its incredible atmosphere and sense of vastness. The story is highly intriguing, and the main characters are genuinely entertaining to follow. I also love that the story choices actually make sense and feel like they make a massive difference, giving the game plenty of solid replayability. My only real critique is that they could have done a little better with the execution of the monsters, even if the creature concepts themselves are interesting. Still, it's a fantastic experience that I highly recommend.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 17 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,502 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Until Dawn, Alien, The Cave & The Descent love child. Best Dark Pictures entry to date. Real monsters, action-packed yet still plenty dialogue, relationships matter and change behaviors, so many deaths and scene variations, helluva 3rd act (you'd think endgame screenshots are from directive 8020), replayability, some hard-carry cast. Shared universe & connections between Dark Pictures titles are fun, but games have to stand on their own as worthy interactive stories, and only HoA succeeds. Remarks: Deaths are only ending variety except Salim's homecoming that can be locked out with no upsides in chapter 2 out of 24 - same frustrating practice as in Man of Medan - one choice at the start irreversibly determines ending for a character yet brings no benefit (
Julia & decompression sickness
). Some rare outcomes are difficult to replicate by yourself yet are easy in Shared Story, and there's decent amount of those that most players will never even know existed. Curator's Cut's disappointing, barely any new perspectives; if you only aim to try different choices can be frustrating due to some AI decision causations. 'Tripwire spot' & 'spot to send team to' is a choice I want to see more of: one where you must pay attention to much earlier choice, or pay the price. Known cut content would've elevated the story. Hallucinations work when there's a real threat too so you can get confused and make mistakes. Considering amount of monsters here, it would've fit well in intended segment and made more players aware of connection to MoM's plot. Checkpoint flashback and a few other scenes should've been kept too. Some traits matter exclusively in Curator's Cut for vital AI decisions, which's another frustrating part, as you wouldn't guess every choice to gain those and where they come into play. Only Jacob & Salim can have proper character development; their duo hard carries which made them fan favorites. Meanwhile, love triangle is a detrimental addition that's unenjoyable, shallow; makes involved cast (3/5) corny, flat or even irritating instead of expanding their presence outside of it; not with failed attempts like Nick's civilian death trauma that actually only affects Jason's depth.
Third game of the series. Story is much better than the first two as well as the controls are much improved in my oponion then the first two games.
