The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes

クアリー～悪夢のサマーキャンプ　と同タイプのゲーム。 この手のタイプはあまり合わないらしい。 一周目は良いが2周目がやる気おきない。だってどのみち大半は見た映像だから。ストーリーも分かってしまってる。ちょっとの分岐映像を見るためだけに2周目をするかどうか。 一周目だけだとほんとに7時間かそこらでゲーム終了。7時間のゲームにお金払うかどうか。

A very good third instalment of the Dark Pictures Anthology, not better than Little Hope but a little better than Man of Medan. It's a part where anthology switched from horror to action-horror with action being a main genre, there is not much of a horror in the game. It starts pretty blank as another story about "heroic americans" during the war in Iraq, something I am too tired of seeing but it later switches to something more decent, something like a mix of The Descent, Aliens with a little bit of RE4 (the parasite in the game looks so much like the plaga in RE4). The characters were probably the worst in the anthology except for Salim (truly the best one in the game) and Eric. Rachel is very unsympathetic and Nick is probably the dumbest character in the whole anthology which led him to get unalived as soon as I got the chance, side characters Merwin and Joey were pretty fun with their jokes but their screen time was limited. On the other hand the game improved a lot during the segments where you control the characters, it's way more comfortable and also the story is longer than the previous ones. Pretty decent, in general.

I would recommend this game.
