About
You wake up on the floor of an old house, confused and not remembering how you got there. As you look for answers, you find diaries written by someone named Jack, who was once trapped in the same situation as you. They contain clues and reveal that the house belonged to Micheal, a kidnapper and murderer, whose cursed soul lures others in to keep doing his terrible acts. The diary explains that the souls of the people he killed are also cursed and trapped in the house. To free the cursed trapped souls and escape, you need to defeat Micheal's cursed soul.

If you enjoy resident evil 7-8 you'll enjoy this short little horror game. Would love to see the game get extended with more puzzles.
Hello, this game has got huge potencial from my point of view, I can definitely appericiate those jumpscares etc. But there are also some big issues. The death is parmanent and there are no checkpoints. When you enter to new location you die instantly at first so you are repeating the game again and again. Me as speedrunner like it usually but this is not alright and also there are some another bugs like you have to use fuse one by one. (Using two in once causes to lose them) Also a little bit short.

"The Cursed Soul" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game. Typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This is yet another first person horror jumpscare simulator as you wander around an asset flipped environment and get jumpscared by Unity assets. It's poorly assembled, un-fun to play, and was just an attempt from another amateur developer to get YOUR money for someone else's Unity assets. So the visuals might look halfway decent at first glance, if mismatched looking in places. But that's only because the "developer" is using other people's assets. When a dev is too lazy or untalented to make their own art, they usually aren't capable of competent coding or game design either. That is exactly the case with this dumpster fire. There's thousands of these Unity asset flipped horror jumpscare games on Steam, and yeah, they're all awful for the exact same reasons. This isn't even one of the better ones. Let's talk about price and the value this represents for us gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $6 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. Even as a free game, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 3 players, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time playing this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Pass on this one. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.
If you have 1 hour or less and want to play a horror game, this is it. PS. Fix the hole in the ground
Starting again from the start is not helpful and not good for gamers especially if you’ve been playing for 20-30 minutes. Maybe add checkpoints or a manual save or a retry so it puts ypu back to the last checkpoint if you want gamers to like your game. Not bad but not good. If you die due to the horror in the house, no retry button, only start again from the start meaning find all the notes again, find the codes again, do the electric puzzle again, which was a pan as no clues so it's just a guessing game. I solved it by accident. found 3 fuses, didn’t hide in time so i died. Start again...No thanks. Unnecessary loud noises, but guess a free horror game will do that. Maybe give it another shot 2nd playthrough got further but by the time you get the blue ball for the maze you don't stand a chance or get a second before the horror kills you, No warning at all, thor horror just turns up and kills you, no sound etc, so you die and right back to the very start. Nah hard pass but good try. Needs a retry button or a save game.
♥♥♥♥♥
Screw this game. It's nothing but cheap jumpscares and having to run around back and forth finding items. Then, if you get caught and killed, there NO CONTINUE option. You have to start all the way back at the beginning. That's bullsh!t. Rating: 0/10
Добавить бы сюда сохранения и было бы сносна, а так умер - заново. 2 раза так перезапускал из-за резкого "RUN".
