Fun, quirkly little experience! I really enjoyed it, some subtle digs at office culture. Did notice some z-fighting in the folders towards the end of the level when you look around.
Very good short interactive experience, it's free and is great for that, would love to see more from this developer. Without spoiling it, I would warn you that this could cause some frightening nightmares.
This was good - decent use of the medium to do somthing different. Would be good to have support for two controllers or to at least have somthing at the start that tells you there will only be one controller used, as current setup can make people waste time trying to figure out why one controller isn\'t working.
Played On: HTC Vive
The Cubicle starts like any other day at the office; you wait for some files to come to you via fax, and you put them away in their designated spots. It's the boiled down version of the hum-drum life that a lot of us office monkeys live, myself included, but things soon take a weird turn as the walls begin to grow higher and higher around you, and suddenly nothing is what it had seemed to be. This title offers an incredibly unique experience that's difficult to describe, yet easy to spoil; therefore, it's best if you just play it for yourself. It's a somewhat psychological thriller that will have a different meaning to everyone, but those that work in office settings will relate the easiest. The controls are simple, the performance is good, and The Cubicle only lasts about 5-10 minutes at best. That being said, it's one of the free VR games that needs to be experienced at least once. I stepped into the cubicle, looked around, and after the second file came out I decided I was going to role-play as an office worker having a breakdown. I threw the TPS reports. I threw the coffee cup. I threw the photo of my loving family. I threw the coffee cup. It was then that I knew I had no need to role-play as the developers clearly had that in mind before I did. Almost a bit creepy and quite an enjoyable experience that's worth repeating and sharing with friends.
Scary isn't the right word, but I'm feeling pretty good about calling this one unsettling. It's been one of my first VR experiences, and hoooo boy, it's making me real nervous about the effectiveness of spooky VR games, and the constitution of my stomach. If you've got a headset, it's worth the quick trip.
All in all you're just a-nother file in the cablnet.... Not a ton of interactivity; more of a short film or an art piece than a game. I enjoyed it; was a bit unsettling, and definitely trippy. Also, why don't I have a right hand!?
Is indeed a good experiencie, but I just couldn't end it because my PC for some reason struggled to get a decent framerate in the middle of the experience. I have a core i5 6600 with an 1060 GTX and 32 GB RAM. Maybe it needs some optimization. Anyway, this is recommended :)
lol this game is like a practical joke you go in thinking your just gonna have a fun office experience but really they TRICK YOU!!
