overall a good Visual Novel. I recommend it. lots of answer options to choose. some supercool clothes. some sex scenes. everything is uncensored, what do you want more. graphic is good. the price of this game is in offer for -50% alright.

Ultimately, this is not a really good read/play. All of the characters are morons. The one time that they involved the police in the Story, and were told that there was someone stalking the area in addition to the reported incident, the police officer says something along the lines of "it was just your imagination". I could do with moronic characters if the story really didn't matter. But, in this situation, it should. My other complaint is the amount of content. This 3.5 year old Early Access VN has a note that it will contain at least 10 episodes. Episode 10 was recently released. However, having played through it now, nothing is even remotely close to being complete. So, this falls into another one of those never-ending-patreon VNs where the developer can try to milk as much as possible in outside subscriptions.

I can understand that it's a small crew working on this. But having a 2022 release, and still trying to get it done seems kind of bad. Especially with some of the things in it... 1, the artwork isn't consistent. Has quite a few bad looking claymation CGI things. There a couple character concepts that are just bad. Pizza Lady looks like a guy in drag. Yuck! Grace looks like a cr^ck-♥♥♥♥<. Just 2 ugly faces. The MC looks sickly too. Kind of like he was on crack too. 2, there's quite a few spelling and grammar mistakes. 3, The story didn't make sense. Hell, real life, they would've went to the police with the first incident at the cabin after April was almost killed. Should've called the cops after the first break in. Should've called the cops when the cameras showed the first intruder. Should've called the cops about the so called military being in the so called abandoned bunker. And with April being MIA, and being the Sherriff's daughter, there shoulda been more of a cop presence everywhere. The writing is showing that these are a bunch of blind naive idiots. And they shouldn't have went to the sh!tty motel on the edge of town. They'd have left town and went to a more populated town somewhere else. I could've tolerated the claymation crap. But can't tolerate the bad story that portrays such idiots.

"The Cabin" is a FIRST-RATE Adult Visual Novel (AVN)!! ART: The artwork is not the latest and greatest, but it IS VERY GOOD rendering, especially for the model Love Interests (LI), they are extremely sensual and arousing! The background environmental artwork is VERY GOOD as well. SCRIPT: The writing for this AVN is EXCEPTIONAL!! This script is above and beyond most AVNs on the market, and although the story awaits its sequel to be truly finished, this is a really good script in grammar, spelling, syntax and especially its plot! Plus, the characters are deeply developed as well! STORY: Although the developer gives you the option to not only name the characters, but also their relationships, consequently - the plot can easily be altered to become a "family" inc*st adventure. Since I prefer life's forbidden fruits in stories to escalate suspense, I chose to make it a "family affair!" And, I believe the story is structured to be played that way. Although, if that isn't your thing, you can easily change it so there is no inc*st element to it at all. SUMMARY: Nevertheless, this story has the slow burn, teasing, romance, s3xual action, and hot actions scenes proliferated all the way through it, so its a HOT, S3XY, exciting and intriguing ride to its completion -- all elements making this a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED game to buy! DON'T MISS THIS -- this is truly one of Steam's hidden treasures!!!

So the biggest letdown is a game that's been around for at least four years and isn't finished. That's pretty crazy, especially when you see how ridiculously verbose the writing is. One of my chief complaints is that the first 3-5 hours of the game seem like you're jumping from activity to activity, without really making any progress. This is also one of those games that chooses to do sexual things in steps (1st time handjob, 2nd blowjob, etc.), which isn't always realistic and just frustrating after wasting so much time not getting anywhere. The MC is always written pretty typically as someone who starts spamming compliments and saying he loves everyone, once you do make progress. Pretty cringy writing. The fact that the dumbasses can't seem to connect the dots and realize that they need to return what they stole, is crazy to me. But honestly, the murderer part of the game feels like a unnecessary detour. It's not really well integrated into the game and seems like a subplot that the writer doesn't know how to close. The entire motel adventure was dumb because it didn't solve anything and they didn't run far enough away. Anyway, animation is meh, art is okay, and some models are decent and some are questionable. If you have a lot of time to spend and can still pick this up for $5, go for it.

This game is really entertaining and it's worth the money. I like the horror aspect to it and I like the characters and story. My only problem with is - What is up with this weird tenant/landlady stuff? I've seen it in other games and it drives me crazy. It doesn't make any sense for the story and there's nothing you can change it to that makes sense. Even if you change it to a stepmom thing, it still doesn't make sense. Aside from that, I'm looking forward to the next release.

I don't want to say too much negative because I respect Dev for being able to make this game in general, but I do have to say the writing isn't for me and is incredibly boring. I find myself being pissed far more often than I enjoy the game because of this very reason. The pacing is slow and progressing relationships feels painful in some cases. When you finally do something with Grace, the outcome is incredibly frustrating. Linda as a love interest makes no sense to me and for her to be the first sex scene, h'oh boy. What a nightmare inducing choice. Kinda can't stand MC's face as well, something about it just feels off putting as all hell. Then there is his annoying super virgin of a personality. I probably should just say this game isn't for me and leave it there.
