About

You are trapped inside this cabin and the only escape is through a game of cards! Use the hands you're dealt to unlock clues hidden throughout the cabin to find the exit. Just beware as the cards you play can alter the cabin around you and have environmental consequences...

Play alone or play with friends
Work together because your lives depend on it! Whether you carry or get carried, everyone's choices impact one another. It's when it comes down to the final hour do you choose to escape together, die together, or every player for themselves.
Player-designed cabin
The cabin game doesn't have a one-size map. The rooms of the cabin are laid out as the game progresses, through design of the players. Be careful how you place rooms because as certain events unfold, early game choices can have late game consequences.
You'll never not NOT be bored
Variety is endless as you never know what events will unfold... or when! The cards are randomly shuffled at the start of every game, making each hand different and every turn can yield unpredictable results!
The Boo Factory
Collect candy as currency and spend it at The Boo Factory! Customize your character, purchase items and pets for your lobby, or buy tricks 'n treats to use in game to mess with your friends!

the cabin game contains strobing and flashing lights that could cause a small percentage of people to experience seizures when exposed to certain lights, patterns, or images.

In short, I highly recommend this game with a good group of friends you just want to hang out with one chilly fall night. Here are some pros and cons I found after 8 hours of gameplay solo and with a full team. Pros: - The game is scary! Plenty of times you'll find yourself alone in the dark, or being chased by one of the many monsters in this game. - There are 12 maps cards you can place and eventually make your own generated cabin! Every game is a different map! - Plenty of "clue" cards to use and discover with their own unique abilities that make every game you play even more unique. - There is player customization! Though it maybe minor, you have 6 models to choose from. Then after playing a few games you'll be able to afford some customization options like: hair, eyes, and masks. - Multiple "events" or mini-games that can occur during your game. Most of theses are fairly straight forward but can be difficult at times. Dying isn't the end as you'll just respawn in the cellar and you can continue your card game (at the cost of some time) if you fail the mini-game. Cons: - This game has some optimization issues at the time of this review. I play with all my settings set to low to try to get the most frames out of the game but only on the loading screens can I hit 120fps. In game I can get anywhere between 60 to 80. There are small moments when the game does freeze but nothing too serious. - Collision and hallway size are an issue. I'm not 100% sure if the devs intended this as it is a very small cabin, but during the "Small" or "Toy" mini-game/event the train usually ends up getting me stuck somewhere and killed. Also with a full team turning off player collision is a must and the game is nearly impossible with it on. - The last thing I'm going to mention for cons is the time it takes to complete a full game. Certain animations and events just take way too long. The knight, and basement mini-game seem to drag on even with a full team. The time it takes to switch turns to the next player can also be a little faster. All in all, this game is very unique compared to the other co-op horror games out there. I hope the developers take pride in what they created here as it can turn into something beautiful. Fingers crossed for eventual console support with cross-play as I have tons of friends without a PC. I highly recommend giving this game a shot for yourself whether you play solo or with a group of friends.

It's fun, it's scary, original idea. PLAY IT
Nice game, original concept. Every game feels diferent. There are some minor bugs, but its ok, cuz its release day and I think this can be improved in one patch (spectate bugs, afterdeath, ...). It's just sometimes hard to figure out how some of the cards (or evidence) works, but hey thats part of the game. You can't me PRO in one session. So continue pls. Also it need a bit more focus on optimalization...
Cool concept that I'd like to see done well, but currently is just bad and not fun to play. Game doesn't feel like it's actually even in early access yet, it feels way more like a beta that needed far more testing before being released. There's already been several patches and I got softlocked within the first 30 minutes of playing, only somehow being freed by another player in my session experiencing the same bug, somehow freeing us both and letting us move again. Devs have already acknowledged it but god the new player onboarding and tutorial is beyond bad. What they haven't ackowledged (from what I can tell) is that many of the cards and descriptions for the events/curses are just, very unclear, misleading, or flat out wrong. Too much effort was put into trying to make cute rhymes for cards that actually being able to know what you're supposed to be doing feels like an afterthought. For misleading/flat out wrong things, just as an example, there's an event where you get asked "is there x amount of doors currently" in the cabin, and their definition of "door" apparently doesn't mean physical doors, it means the connections between rooms. This means that the closets you can hide in, which have physical doors that you must open and interact with, do NOT count towards this, and conversely, some rooms connect to each other with an open archway much like an open floor plan, and those DO count as "doors". This kind of thing is honestly very unacceptable for a game where the entire gameplay loop is focused on understanding riddles and puzzles. Speaking of the gameplay loop, holy ♥♥♥♥ this game is slow, in so many ways. I'm not talking about movement speed either (although that is slow, it's fitting for a small cramped building), I'm talking about pretty much everything else. Need to sit at the table to do your turn? Slow sitting down animation. Finish your turn? The table spins unbelievably slowly to the next person. Literally just pressing the "start turn" button so you can play? Slow animation to look at the table. These types of things create sooooooo much dead air and time in the game that a large portion of the gameplay just feels like you're waiting for no reason. Nothing feels snappy or responsive, the game feels just slow and sluggish in literally every way. Similarly, the minigames for the curses over stay their welcome to an ungodly degree. One of them as an example is about popping a series of balloons that spawn around the cabin, while a sound based, blind monster tries to track you, and you must be stealthy/quiet to avoid getting caught. In a 2 player session, this required popping around 20-30 balloons to progress, while specifically moving slowly to not lose, taking well over 15 minutes for just a minigame that doesn't actually progress the game at all, it just gets in your way. Also, the game runs very poorly. Others have said the same thing, but performance optimization feels almost like it wasn't even attempted. Very low fps even on the lowest settings, far worse than a game of this visual caliber should be running at. Overall this game needs way, way, way more work done before it's even worth considering spending money on. It runs bad, feels bad, is misleading and outright wrong more than half the time, and has numerous, game breaking bugs. They say their goal is to have the full game released out of early access within 6-8 months, but realistically, it should've been worked on for another 6-8 months before they even released it to early access in the first place. EDIT: Just saw the devs have one other game, "Boo Men", which is STILL listed as Early Access as well, despite their last update being over 2 years ago and being effectively abandonware at this point. Would suggest skipping this game entirely now knowing that, as this game is very likely going to be minimally updated for a couple months during it's hype phase while the devs are getting money off it before they abandon it as well.
I haven't laughed this hard with my friends in a loooong time. This game is absolutely genius, and I can't wait for the upcoming updates! Don't pay too much attention to the bad reviews complaining about bugs. Guys, it's Early Access — and even in its current state, it's totally playable and funny as ♥♥♥♥. I definitely recommend it!
Aus langweile mit die Boys angezockt und wirklich angefangen zu Rätseln und es hat richtig Laune gemacht!!! Also kann ich euch nur empfehlen, man lernt mit der zeit :D
the game is enjoyable with friends or solo, some games take to long where youll get rooms and no clues or clues and no rooms. theyre buggs tht weve noticed like 1, turns not starting unless you stand up then sit back down 2, the light monster with the fire place will bugg out and not spawn after all lights are off 3, the demon in the corner will still get you if your facing a corner with furniture.
Actually peak, I try so many garbage friendslop horror games and expected more garbage with this one from the Steam page but the game is actually great
