So far I like it, no hand holding, got stuck in a spot, 3 sides trap one side 5 on the dice as part of the floor you walk on, no actual dice rolls, but didn't let me pass so had to bail, not sure if intended, in other spots that was the side I could move away from after the trap was sprung. Death just has you start over, didn't see any carry over at all run to run, yet. Moving to next screen and back, it is randomized, not a consistent layout. No tutorial, you are a contestant, ESC or the upper right back arrow will allow you to clear the name (CONTESTANT) FYI during the NAMING YOURSELF screen. After further exploring, bottom left on the starting point (with locked entrance) will give you a pop up with game play info. Fight with cards, read them carefully, you get one card reward, choice of 3, after every won battle. So far have 3 MP per turn to spend on using cards. Snagged all 3 DLC, not sure how it is in play though. Will return, curious to see where this goes. Was smooth on my system specs and worked with my controller (Xbox compatible one by 8bitdo), uses shoulder buttons per in game info, but just for navigating menus and such. Looks like RNG can help or hurt in this one A LOT! I ran into a box that gave me reward of 6 cards to use in deck, but mobs near it, too strong. Expect to have to reduce mob armor to 0 before hitting unless card(s) specify and needing own armor up probably an imperative in all but the early battles. Hit ESC during play to get to your inventory screen+.
