The Between

A really fun text-based RPG game, it’s a promising and enjoyable experience with a lot of charm

The Between is a text-based roguelike that delivers way more than you'd expect. The writing is immersive, the music sets a haunting tone, and each run feels personal and meaningful. With 50+ skills, evolving abilities, random events, and custom skill creation, there’s plenty of depth. If you enjoy dark, story-rich games that make you think — this one’s a gem.

Dull, repetitive, hard to understand, would not recommend.

This game mixes roguelike mechanics with a rich, emotional story in a really creative way. The wave-based combat is engaging, and the variety of enemies and events keeps things fresh. Facing twisted reflections of your character adds a personal touch that most RPGs don’t even try. It’s polished, thoughtful, and totally worth your time.

So this is definitely the first text based roguelike I've played, but I can't help but want to play non stop. Best way to explain if you'll like this game or not, but like I'd give it an Autism approved label on this game. (Anyways back to playing more, I must 100%)
