So there's a few things this game's got going for it:

Great soundtrack - From an indie dev I love the retro tunes that fit the theme of the game. Just like video games of yore, the looping works great and gets you into the game. It also gets out of the way at certain moments in the story.
Nice story mode - Sure you're not reading a novel but it's got some battles put together with great progression. It doesn't feel like you're just being spammed for no reason. Sure you can brute force it if you really want to, but there's some tactical decisions you can make to lessen damage, plan your attack, and predict enemy actions.
Endless mode - If you're in the mood to just shoot aliens you can get just that.
It's cheap! - Not sure why you're still reading this, just buy it already. Maybe the price will go up after it's out of early access but totally worth the half a Starbucks drink without the need to tip.
quem gosta de jogos retro estilo arcade, vai adorar esse jogo, muito tiro reflexo rapido e explosão, recomendo =)
The game is fast paced, full of enemies to shoot, and difficult bosses to face off with. The sound track is great and keeps you in fighting mode. The levels get more intense as you go, and each level presents new challenges. I look forward to playing it again and again and beating my top scores! Can't wait for more levels.
This plays much better than it did the first time I tried it as there have been a number of changes throughout the early access phase. In fact the game felt so radically different that I deleted my original negative rec for it because its criticisms didn't really apply anymore. I'll continue to revisit this game as its development continues. Some of my main gripes with it right now: I don't feel like I'm flying through space. There's a static background image of space but that alone doesn't create that feeling, I feel like I'm sitting on the same screen the entire time. Enemy attacks could be more interesting and developed. I haven't noticed any bullet hell patterns. Not every shmup has to have those more complicated patterns, but I'm not even seeing minor bullet patterns of any kind. There is only straight lines of fire. Stages don't feel different enough from one another outside of the different enemies that appear. The mines in the minefield tend to evaporate to your shooting to the point that they don't really come into play for the most part. This is a lot closer to being a game I could recommend, but as it stands I think it needs more time to cook.
I have only played the early access, but completed the story so far and really enjoyed what the game had to offer. A fun bullethell shooter with interesting bosses and a good mix of enemies. Not punishingly difficult on the default difficulty. My only complaint is that when you are powered up all the way, you shoot so many projectiles, it is difficult to see any enemies or their fire.
Great throwback, tight controls and fun to play!
The Battle of Aurinoxia is a short game. On the default setting, you can finish it in about 30-35 minutes. They do offer some extra modes to extend your experience, but none of them is worth mentioning. You’ll get your worth in that half-hour and move on to something else. Shooter fans won’t feel much of a challenge, but for the casual enjoyer, this is a fine distraction.
Fun game-looking forward to the full game. The game gives loads of tokens and spamming the bombs and using up your shield smartly is essential to getting thru the levels imho; It's great fun. The soundtrack and effects, especially the boss voices are just awesome.
Shoot 'em up and blow them up. Great soundtrack, great visuals, and a lot of bullet packed action. I am not an expert in this genre but this was a ton of fun and could see myself trying to work through the whole game and then possibly trying the harder difficulties. I recommend this if you are even slightly interested in this genre.
Great little bullet hell with an amazing synth soundtrack
