The battle for Christmas

Simple game that fits the season while providing the expected gameplay. Because this is an arcade game, the story is quite simple. Santa is preparing to deliver the presents when an orc appears, knocks him out, and steals his sack. Now Santa needs to get it back. The game takes you through 30 stages that fit the genre. This means you move right while jumping over holes, riding on moving platforms, and defeating enemies with an endless supply of snowballs. Santa throws them one at a time, so you can not just mash the fire button. Although the stages are divided into three "worlds," the only variation between them is a different melody and a little change in the environment. Stages are rather similar, with a snow and Christmas motif. The only distinguishing feature is the boss fights that occur in every tenth stage. These are easy. Despite some tricky sections, the platforming is fair and decent. Biggest challenge is related to slippery surfaces (throwing a snowball helps because it prevents slipping) and harder enemies that require more snowballs to defeat. Archer goblins, large orcs, and fish jumping out of the water are among the enemies you must face. You see the same kind from the first to the last stage. Stage performance is awarded with three stars. One star is attached to a stage's collectibles, which take the shape of Christmas balls. You do not have to do much work for them because they are found on the path. The other two stars are rewarded for simply completing a stage and taking no damage. Santa may take three hits; once you have lost all of your hearts, you must retry the stage. Falling into a hole is the most perilous since you will fail immediately. Overall, this is a pleasant Christmas platformer that will not take up much of your time. Doing a good job is also rewarded with a nice bundle of achievements.

This is a simple Jump and Run for the Christmas time. Conrols not so good and the parts were Santa slides (ice) is very hard to see. I also don't like the fact that there is no possibility to see which ground is open (between the platforms) and you fall and those who are closed and theres no issue. Very annoying if you went far and then dont see that fricking opening. I played it a bit but gave up, not because it is hard but because it is annoying af.

i enjoyed this game a lot more than i thought i would. thought it would be an easy game but it was a bit more difficult than expected, especially what the game details says in the store page lol. it is a nice little cozy game though, especially if you aren't trying to 3 star every level. i recommend using a controller for sure though because this on mnk was rough. def worth the price and will replay it again probably next Christmas. wishing they had DLC or another game like this. we don't have nearly as many good games like this, nice to find a game like this.

約1時間でゲームクリア&全実績解除。 全30ステージで各ステージに3つずつ実績があります。 ゲームとしては王道の横スクロールアクション。 ただし、敵を踏んで倒すことができないのが難点。 また、私の環境だとパッドが使えずキーボードでプレイしましたが、なかなか難しかったです。 120円で1時間遊べるのであれば非常にいいゲームだと思います。 オススメです。
