What could have been a perfect game is plagued by am atrocious first level of pixel hunting and stick man chasing, The addition of a level select is indeed a good idea, but the game has quite a few bugs to be fleshed out and the manner of pacing to be fixed. There is absolutely no reason why every Backrooms has to include either monsters, note finding or chases. Until then ill keep saying: no matter how much you add, if you do not retract, its still a copy. Forget the entities and the puzzles, or add an exploration mode and this might become something marvellous to behold. I have no idea what the good reviews for. The first level is so terrible and low effort that I'm returning the game.
the second, third and fourth level so far are just running simulators until you find either a keycard or a boltcutter. the birthday party and pool levels are a joke.
7/10 Backrooms game. -The game looks great. -Very nice, for Liminal photography. -The story, is more interesting, than in most backrooms games. -Things, like the late night radio show, give the game, a nice charme. -The levels are too short, and feel rushed, in chapter 1 and 2, some levels, feel like you just rush through them, there are even cases, where you are, less than one minute, in a level, which prevents, a good liminal or creepy atmosphere (there are some exceptions). (The game has its flaws, but Backrooms enthusiasts, can still have, some fun with the game).
I LOVED the twist put at chapter 3 it was amazing. The whole game was great but what really sets this game apart from others is what you need to do on chapter 3. Lowkey like poppy playtime. Anyway I won't spoil more, but def play this game it's great!
