The Backrooms: Escape

Not a bad little game. It was nice to see a few scenes from the Kane Pixels footage make it in. Definitely not a hard game ... took me less than 2 hours to beat 100%. Looking forward to any DLC this dev adds. His Smilers are some of the best from any of the Backrooms games I've played.

This game is a real gem amongst all the Backrooms games. The graphics are excellent. It has a good few objectives. Some parts had me scratching my head a bit to the point where I had to contact the Dev for help. The Dev was very responsive and helpful. All I can say is, if you find yourself thinking you have tried everything but still can't figure out how to get out...look harder. There's always a way out. I found the interaction mechanics a bit awkward but maybe that's just me. Overall, this is a great game with a really good story that evolves as you move along. Highly recommended.

✅Un petit jeu assez court (⏱️ 2 heures) qui nous propose différents niveaux dans les Backrooms avec une mini histoire.⚠️Il y a quelques monstres (3 en tout) mais on peut y échapper assez facilement. Le reste du temps les niveaux sont tranquilles. ✅L'effet vieille caméra est sympa, ça rend le tout assez joli, par contre c'est parfois contraignant lorsqu'il faut entrer un code. ❌Il manquait quelque chose dans l'ambiance... ce n'était pas assez angoissant (c'est mon ressenti).

the game is amazing but it keeps crashing

Personally, it's not what I'm looking for in a backroom game. I'm looking for liminality and a more peaceful exploration in much less creepy environments. However, that doesn't make it a bad game and that's why my review is positive, since the game has a very good level of detail and development, as well a level diversity that enrich the experience. The mechanics for progressing are good and I personally liked them. It's recommended for those who like a creepy and tense atmosphere including being sometimes chased by entities. I don't regret buying and playing it.
