About
You are David, a young shepherd boy that quickly realizes he has a greater purpose than just taking care of sheep. With wisdom, skill and bravery, you will progress through many events and locations from the biblical stories of young David.
The Anointed: David Saves Keilah is a single-player, action-adventure game with platforming elements experienced in 3rd-person perspective. This is a demo of the larger game, The Anointed: Heart of David - due to be released in late 2026. In DSK, David traverses many locations; moving through the wilderness of Ziph, the Forest of Hereth, and the threshing floors and stronghold of Ancient Keilah, all in this single episode (1 Sam 23). As David, the player has the physical ability to walk, crawl, crouch, sprint, jump, vault over objects, climb on buildings, scale up walls, swing from ropes, and there is even a horse for those long runs through the wilderness.
Although the story is linear, there are plenty of things to discover and many paths to take to fulfill each part of David's mission to save Keilah. There is a vast open-world feel with no time limits between objectives. There are loud thunderstorms and bright sunny skies, and David has a torch to light his way inside dark rooms/areas. Dialogues and Scrolls of information (Scripture) help guide David on the right path, while providing invaluable lessons. And, there are videos (Prayer Tips) that help the player navigate the challenges ahead. David's sling, staff, sword and spear are very useful weapons against the Philistines, the wild animals, and all the enemies of David - but Stealth and patience can be the most rewarding strategy. The Vitality, Righteousness, and Empowerment meters reflect the state of David during gameplay.
All of these elements and features come together in an exciting version of the biblical narrative of David, God's Anointed.

Anointed: DSK, tek oyunculu, 3.
Wish I could give a thumbs up as there are some positive aspects of the game, but it's EXTREMELY buggy. It is not hard at all to encounter a game breaking glitch at any moment. I have played this game every 6 months since release. It really grew on me. i got attached to the game. Especially the surroundings, they were the biggest asset. Now, recently the game got updated and it got semi-reworked after the old combat system got buggy. Some changes were for the better while other... changed the game i grew to like. For example, now combat and everything you do is a tidy bit more linear, less freedom to jump and kick, or even throw moves against several enemies at once. Because now you get KOed by 3 punches. Also the mountains and textures got changed and now every section looks the same. Before it had a nice charm to it, it really looked like it was made by someone. There were even some parts that had a kind of mineral like texture, now the rocky environments and some other features look like they were made with AI. Not horrendous its mostly better in some areas but as i said it took the charm of a game that was build with the purpose of fun in mind while still learning. now that the most fun got removed its much more stressful to hit the combos right so as to be able to finish the game. Now its just you trying to stick as close as possible to how exactly its now intended to play. Each sight was memorable because it was different from one another. now all the rocks and trees and skies look the same. The water looked clean and it was a joy to swim, but is worse now. while all the other things are better but u cant jump and be amused by the fight scenes like u could once do, the freedom got nerfed while the visuals just got enhanced so to say. However at the same time i cannot give it a bad review, because this is one of my favorite games on steam and ill gladly come back to it to see if it will get improved but im not hoping much because in some areas it was better before. Either way, im eager to see how good will be the next game in the series. Hopefully it will be more distinct and not have everything looking the exact same, because this one now feels more like a tutorial than how it used to be like a playable short experience.
This was one of the greatest fever dreams of a game i have ever played, and honestly if i wasn't with my friends i would have cried playing this game istead of laughing hesterically. 10/10 best video game ever produced.
ok, so, i went into this with some expectations, but those were shattered. thrown on the floor and stepped on. so, i thought this was gonna be something good. the graphics wernt to bad, and the trailer was alright. ive played some games with not great looks, but the gameplay, is really bad. sometimes its unresponsive, the battle systems need work, the aiming and shooting needs work as well. the enemies, especially the bears in this game, are crazy. they are relentless, and wont leave you alone. i died so many times. dont get me started on the loading times too, that are long. if you wanna see how bad the game is, check out my vids on youtube, im sqaull17 on youtube. i will complete this "game" and tell you more how i feel about the whole game. well, later. and if youre really curious, try it out, its free. see the frustration your self. so, i have completed the game, and im still a no go on this game. well, demo, but i hope the full game is better. cause the ending was just a cutscene when i thought it was gonna be a full level. but its a demo, so i suggest coming into this, that its a demo, and probably a beta. cause it plays as one as well. the controls for pc, were not great, and the controler was not great either. i think some of the achievements are glitched as well too. they wont pop. so for now, only try this if you wanna help the developer to make this game better. cause as of right now, this need more improvement.
The fact that it is based on the Bible.
♥♥♥ пойму, эпизодов ещё нет, или я чёт не то сделал.
This is a good historical game. Most story games spend much time telling a story. This one tells a Biblical story and helps the Bible come alive in game format. From the unreal engine you can see it actually plays well. I enjoyed riding a horse and running around. One thing that stood apart was using a sling. I loved being able to hit stuff with a rock, but the game did not make it some impossible task to master. I look forward to seeing the finished game with all the levels. Some of it reminded me of the old Tomb Raider games where you had to figure how to escape or get to a certain spot.
