This game definitely blew my expectations! A lot of passion went into just about every aspect of the game, but I particularly love the game's soundtrack and minimalist yet expressive story. Despite having no difficulty setting, this game's mechanics allow it to have a highly flexible difficulty ramp. While the most casual of shmup players may appreciate the game's autosave, the more experienced players will find a decent challenge in scoring and completing the special 10th stage. The UX of the game is very similar to the style of arcade game that it emulates, so it can be somewhat confusing to drop in and play the game. There are a number of aspects of the game (controls, scoring, the names of the two girls), that I only learned from reading the game's manual. The collision takes time to get used to for players not particularly familiar with the CAVE-style hitbox. So... while I do love this game, I also recommend that the game be approached with an open mind, especially for people not particularly accustomed to shmup conventions.
Ten & Till is an incredible achievement in accessible shmup design while also providing a fantastic story progression & ramp up in difficulty. There's so many great ways to help new players navigate its bullet patterns without giving into feeling discouraged. The soundtrack is also fantastic!!
I want to like this game, but could not get it to work properly with a controller! Returned. Please add proper controller support and I will gladly re-purchase!
Cute Shmup. Plays really well.
If you thought Mushihime-sama was a challenge, grab your pringles and get ready to shingle, because this one is a real treat, at least for the price tag, now, don't be fooled by the "low res" presentation, this game is hard as feeeuck but the worst part is, it's ONE HOUR LONG per run, if you expect your typical 1cc 20 min danmaku shmup, you'll be astranged, but stick with me, are you still with me?, good!,Go now and buy Ten and Till, throw your ego through the window, cry, scream, punch the wall I don't care, you will spend some time practicing your timings and watching 1cc runs and will want to come back for more, this small but huge game places itself alongside danmaku shmup greats such as deathsmiles and esp.a.galuda.
玩起来很有趣,就是太长了,后期一直在猜这个是不是最终boss... 血这么厚一定是了... 怎么还有一关... 这个肯定是了... 怎么又来一关... 肯定要结束了... 咋又来一阶段... 心态简直要崩...
It's like a CAVE shooter for the Gameboy Advanced. I'm a touhou on medium kind of guy and for the first three levels I felt like I was doing a good job sight reading the patterns and deliberately staying alive. I actually got worried that the game was broken there were several times I was 10000% sure I was dead, but I just never got hit. Turns out your hitbox is comedically small even by bullet hell standards. When you end up completely pinned you just hold left or right and 90% of the time you live. The end of the game turns into an incomprehensible swath of bullets (as you would expect) but the fact that you can live for so long without having a clue what you are doing cheapens the experience. It's still very beatable and fun in its own goofy way,
Everything just fine, besides the weird resolution. Also, there is "eye for an eye and player goes blind" bullet.
