The world has been affected by an evil entity that transforms humans into monstrous creatures, bringing about the apocalypse. After some time, humanity discovered that there are three ancient books hidden within a labyrinth of their own making. These books contain the knowledge needed to seal the entity away from this world.
Sadly, no one has ever managed to escape these mazes. Now, it is your turn to enter and retrieve the books, but the odds are not in your favor.
The Abyssal Maze is a three-stage horror experience designed to push your nerves and patience to their limit. You have no weapons, no special abilities, just your instincts and the hope that you’re not too late.

Each maze is bigger, darker, and more distorted than the last. By the time you reach the third stage, every step feels like a gamble. Only the most determined players make it out.

The Abyssal Maze es un indie que, partiendo de su precio de 3 dólares —y muchas veces incluso menos de 1 en descuento—, ofrece una experiencia que vale la pena considerar. No tiene gráficos impresionantes, algo esperable por su costo, pero lo compensa bien con una atmósfera lograda y un gameplay entretenido, aunque muy desafiante. Sus enemigos pueden matarte de un solo golpe, así que no es un juego para quienes se frustran fácil o no disfrutan morir una y otra vez. Por ese precio, la propuesta funciona bastante bien. Eso sí, tiene algunos bugs molestos, como una llave que a veces no aparece y obliga a reiniciar el nivel, aunque al menos ocurre justo en la zona inicial. También hay detalles técnicos como los FPS desbloqueados por defecto y cambios gráficos que solo se guardan una vez dentro de la partida.
