This is the Most Awesome Tetris Game I ever played yet!

TL;DR - 9/10 - Probably the best incarnation of Tetris I've ever played. Very engaging, great music, great visuals, lots of design variety and plenty of modes to choose from. Multiplayer has all the problems every other multiplayer game has, and visuals at times can be a bit distracting, but overall a fantastic experience. And now some additional thoughts... ART TETRIS This is a fantastic incarnation of Tetris, with great visuals, a great variety of visuals, great music, great sound effects that complement the music, and a great variety of music. (Seriously, pick up the soundtrack, it's worth it.) The developers know they've created works of art here and they absolutely flaunt it. There are extra modes in the game where you can just chill and look at visuals while listening to music without playing the game if you're so inclined to use them. There are also menu modes where you can see your avatar and the avatars of everyone else playing the game flying around the world. A mild criticism is that sometimes the graphics can interfere with the gameplay a little, but that feels like more of a "you issue" if you refuse to go into your settings and adjust them to your preferences. SINGLE PLAYER VS MULTIPLAYER The single player experience is fantastic. There are a lot of variations on the game to choose from and journey mode, the game's primary feature, is excellent. In addition, there are a lot of challenges and achievements you can work towards, and every match allows you to rank yourself up. The multiplayer experience is similar... but with the key difference that it suffers the same problems every other multiplayer game has. If you have someone with a reliable internet connection to play with, or if you're playing with someone in the same room on the same system or on a local network, it's fine. But if you're playing with randos on the internet, well, you have the usual disconnects, the usual people who have been playing the game for entirely too long, the people who are truly abysmal at the game, server issues, and, in my case in 2026, difficulty finding another rando to play modes with, especially the main multiplayer mode which requires three players... and disconnects midway through due to a server issue. GAMEPLAY It's... Tetris. I mean... I really don't feel like I should have to explain how Tetris works. The blocks fall, and you try to prevent them from filling up the screen by making an unbroken line of blocks. It's... it's Tetris. There are a bunch of new and old returning modes with variations on that... but... I mean... it's Tetris. OVERALL Multiplayer issues and "you issue" graphics criticisms aside, this really is a fantastic game, and I give it very high recommendation, especially if you like Tetris, but I also give it a very high recommendation in general because it is very, very good. 9/10
